My Gimmick with Gimme has Been Resolved (With No Help From Gimme lol)

My Gimmick with Gimme has Been Resolved (With No Help From Gimme lol)

I had the worst experience with Gimme and their main support person (actually an AI bot), Chloe was no help. Along with her handful of AI minions that replied to my emails with automated responses.

Anywho, the way Gimme charged my card (I think it was due to them stating they’re a subscription service), I was unable to normally file a dispute in my app. After some research I found out filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) was the only way I would be able to get my issue resolved.

I was issued a temporary credit for my $897 payment shortly after filing my complaint and then about 2ish weeks after I was refunded all interest charged on that payment. And now I have been formally notified that my dispute was resolved in my favor.

Thank god.

Anyways shoutout to the CFPB for being efficient and effectively doing the work they promise! Gimme should take some notes and follow in their footsteps.

Anyways, you’re always lucky with Gimmick (I mean Gimme) until you’re not. My many orders were fine with little to no issues, but with this last order they really dropped the ball. Actually, they didn’t just drop the ball, they destroyed the ball like a disco ball being beat by hammers.

Excessive Hunger and Cravings While Sick?

I took my last shot on Thursday and then Friday morning I woke up feeling a bit under the weather that just started off with a mild sore throat and low grade fever. Now it’s Tuesday and I have a moderate cough, a fever controlled with Tylenol, and body aches. Starting Saturday I have had out of control hunger and have been eating non-stop.

I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar hunger response when getting sick with a cold or anything?

“Bacterial” Acne Worsening with Rx Topicals?

I recently found a new derm because I started breaking out on my shoulders and back earlier this year. In the past when this has happened it goes away with a pretty harsh OTC routine with things I would NEVER put on my face (St. Ives Apricot Scrub, Clean and Clear Essentials Acne Toner, The Ordinary 2% Salicylic Acid Solution, and Panoxyl 10% Wash) I would use the toner and salicylic acid topical twice a day and then rotate between St. Ives and Panoxyl in the morning when I would shower. That routine would always clear up any chest/back/shoulder breakouts I ever had in a few weeks.

For some reason that routine hasn’t helped at all during this breakout and I was consistent with it for about 2 months before deciding to see a derm since there was absolutely no improvement.

My derm prescribed me 1% Clindamycin lotion to use once a day after showering and told me to continue using the Panoxyl to prevent antibiotic resistance.

I’ve been doing as instructed for the past month and my breakout has only worsened. I had my one month follow-up a few days ago and asked my derm if there could possibly be a fungal component causing my breakout. He immediately dismissed my concern since it doesn’t look like typical fungal acne. He brought up oral antibiotics which I declined because I despise them and I refuse to put up with those side effects just to clear up acne that nobody ever really sees. He ended up prescribing me a topical called Winkevi.

After searching what Winlevi is and finding out it can cause adrenal insufficiency that comes with horrible symptoms. I wanted to look into OTC treatment options for fungal acne to see if there’s some sort of improvement when using anti-fungal treatments.

I’m aware of Nizoral being commonly recommended for self treating fungal acne, and I’ve used it when I was a teen dealing with awful cystic acne on my face. But I want to stay away from it as I hate the smell and I always prefer fragrance free skin care options.

If there are any other decent OTC products that help fungal acne that are fragrance free please let me know!

TLDR: Went to derm for chest/back/shoulder breakout that didn’t improve after 2 months, prescribed 1% Clindamycin lotion to apply after showering once a day and to use Panoxyl 10%. 1 month later my breakout has steadily worsened. Asked doctor about potential fungal acne and my concern was immediately dismissed. Derm offered oral antibiotics that I declined and ended up prescribing Winlevi. I’m looking for OTC/self treatment options for fungal acne that are fragrance free.

High Indoor Humidity Troubleshooting?

I live in a 900 sq ft apartment with its own hvac unit. My indoor humidity has averaged 50-60% for over a year and I never noticed it until recently. I live in a dry climate where the humidity barely reaches 20% even in the mornings; it’s usually 10% on a typical day in the summer meanwhile inside my apartment it will be near 60%.

My indoor humidity does spike up to the 70’s when I shower, run the dishwasher, or wash laundry but it’ll go back down to 50-60% shortly after. But lately I’ve been getting notifications that my humidity is going over 60% when I’m not even at home and I’m concerned there is something wrong that’s slowly getting worse but it’s not visible?

I have brought this issue up to maintenance and one of the guys came to change my air filters to try to resolve it, even though he had just changed my air filters a few weeks prior. That didn’t do a thing, and when he walked into my apartment he said that if it truly was that humid he would be able to feel it, but I keep my apartment pretty cold which prevents it from feeling stuffy.

What could be causing this? Or how do I bring it up to maintenance for them to take it more seriously?

Shoulder and Back Acne Not Improving? Could It Be Fungal and Not Bacterial?

My dermatologist prescribed me clindamycin lotion for daily use to apply to the affected areas after I shower. I’ve been using that along with 10% benzoyl peroxide wash in the shower to help prevent antibiotic resistance.

Some days I do mix salicylic acid with the Clindamycin lotion because I’ve effectively gotten rid of shoulder and back breakouts with salicylic acid alone in the past.

I’ve been researching other otc treatments I could try which lead me to the use of adapalene gel. I just added this to my routine a few days ago so it’s too soon to notice any improvement.

I’m wondering if my breakout maybe isn’t typical acne caused by bacteria but maybe a fungal acne instead?

My back and shoulder breakouts are unrelated to the condition of my face. Right now I have about 5ish pimples on my face from a very mild Tretinoin purge.

Does this potentially look like it has a fungal origin instead of bacterial cause?

What otc products are recommended for fungal acne?

And what should I mention at my follow-up appointment with my dermatologist in 2 weeks?

Thank you :)

Getting Closer to Maintenance and Full of Anxiety

I’ve lost about 90 ish pounds and have 40 pounds (give or take) to go until I get to my goal weight. Instead of looking forward to getting to my goal weight I’m just full of anxiety and worried. All my life my weight has yo-yo’d from being morbidly obese to even being underweight. Losing weight has always been easy for me, it’s maintaining that’s been my biggest obstacle.

I’m worried that I’m going to end up back where I started or even heavier as that’s what always has happened in the past.

I’m only 25 but I’ve probably lost a total of 400 pounds in my life time from severe weight fluctuation. I plan on staying on tirz long term but I still don’t have any trust in myself to successfully maintain my goal weight.

Also, my body is just permanently ruined from my rapid weight gain and weightloss cycles. I have so much loose skin everywhere and while skin removal surgery and a breast reduction/lift are reasonable options, I feel like I would get the surgeries and let myself go again and end up wasting 10’s of thousands of dollars.

I wish I was proud of myself for losing weight again but my shame will always outweigh my pride. I’m ashamed I even got so big in the first place, and it’s discouraging that no one in my life applauds me for losing so much weight because they’re used to me gaining and losing so much. I don’t even applaud myself and consider myself pathetic for regaining the same weight over and over again.

FINAL UPDATE: Information on Supplies Used That Resulted in Cellulitis at Injection Site

Original post about injection site reaction: https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/s/QKx1QN76PT

Updated post about confirmed cellulitis: https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/s/3ugD5M2vdw

I totally forgot to make an updated post with information regarding the supplies I used.

Alcohol Swabs:

McKesson Large Alcohol Prep Pads
Lot #: CJE11-03
Expiration: 11/1/2028

Insulin Syringes:

Easy Touch 1ml Insulin Syringes 31 gauge 5/16”
Lot #: 75295
Expiration: 8/23/2030

GreenwichRx Tirzepatide with B12:

Lot #: 0011-042026-1
Expiration: 7/29/2026

The insulin syringes were a new pack just opened for that injection and they came in a 100 pack box I ordered (10 packs of 10 needles). Each pack has the same lot # and expiration and I’ve been using packs from this 100 supply box for months.

And the Greenwich vial was opened for the first time for that injection as well.

Belle Order Was As Quick as Amazon Prime

Belle was having a deal for one month of BPI for $149 so I was inclined to order it lol. I placed my order at like 8pm on Wednesday night, the prescription was written yesterday morning at 7am and it was delivered this morning at 10:30am. I don’t think I’ve ever received an order this fast, like from intake to delivery was less than 48 hours lol. Meanwhile I’m still waiting on one vial from OptioRx (SBH) through Pom Health and it’s been 2 weeks and still not even a tracking label has been made.

The BUD for this vial is 2/19/2027

I’m not sure if Belle is still offering this deal but here’s the link I used: https://go.joinbelle.com/bJLYYOT?pid=4420145

If you get the deal just remember to cancel your subscription once you get your order because Belle’s month to month price is $249 and who knows what pharmacy they’ll be using once there’s no more BPI.

Do Telehealths Prioritize New Customers?

I don’t know if it’s just me but whenever I order from a new telehealth my first order is insanely quick but when I place another order after that they tend to be SO much slower.

I’ve experienced this with a few different telehealth platforms.

Like last night I placed an order with Belle since they were offering a good deal on 1 month of BPI and I have a feeling UPS will receive my package by the end of the day today and I’ll receive in the next day or 2. I had a similar timeline with my first order with Amble as a returning customer. And my first Gimme order was received 2-3 days after I submitted my questionnaire.

Meanwhile any subsequent orders placed after the initial one took between 1-2 weeks to receive and that’s been my experience with many telehealths. I don’t think it is related to the pharmacy because I’ve ordered from the same pharmacy as I did with my first orders on each telehealth and the timeline from order placement to package received was so much longer.

BPI “Special” with Belle! $149 for 60mg

If anyone is interested in this “special” here’s the link:

https://go.joinbelle.com/bJLYYOT?pid=4420145

I got the text like 20 minutes ago and just decided to hop on their so called “deal” that’s really the price I’ve seen across most telehealths for BPI vials.

It’s interesting that they’re lowering their price on BPI though and having a flash sale. In my mind I thought they would want to hold onto their stock so they can refill orders for patients later on, but maybe BPI has to get rid of it all asap? I wouldn’t know, but 1 last BPI order wouldn’t hurt 🤷🏽‍♀️

Curex Telehealth… Seems Legit

I got an email for a Memorial Day sale with Curex? I was curious to see the pricing and they seem like an amazing company to use!

I can lose over 100 pounds in 3 months AND take tirzepatide pills instead of injecting myself each week!

SIGN ME UP!

(This is a joke I would stay far away from any company that offers oral versions of tirzepatide and of course telehealths that state you can lose an insane amount of weight in just a few months)

But I am HIGHLY curious, has anyone actually used Curex before? I NEEEEED to know!!

Best Moisturizer for Tret GEL???

I recently swapped from tret cream to gel just because I have excessively oily skin and mixing that with the consistency of the cream drove me crazy.

Anyways, I learned last night that my go to night moisturizer is incompatible with tret gel. It caused so much pilling and now I’m in desperate need of a new moisturizer, one that I can tolerate the consistency of while also being extremely effective.

I was using the La Rosche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5+ and I really liked the consistency of it and it was extremely effective when I originally found it while researching ways to restore skin barrier from tret dryness.

If anyone could comment the moisturizers they use with tret gel, that would be greatly appreciated!!

***Update: I contacted Greenwich they took my personal information, symptoms (I mentioned to them I was diagnosed with cellulitis by ER doctor), lot#, and medication name. I told them I was instructed not to continue using these meds by the doctor I saw, and they told me to follow my doctor’s instructions but to keep the vials on hand.

Someone mentioned the possibility of this being from the needles I used, so I will update this post with brand and lot# of needles when I get a chance.***

Here’s the link to my OP: https://www.reddit.com/r/tirzepatidecompound/s/ZhpgmqzVdA

I ended up going to the ER the next morning due to a 102F fever, chills, and significant spreading of redness and pain.

The doctor said it was cellulitis and I was started on IV antibiotics and I was discharged with oral antibiotics to continue.

The doctor was concerned that it was from the medication and said the steps I follow before injecting are correct.

This happened after using Greenwich for the first time. My medication is Tirzepatide with B12. All of my vials have the same Lot # and BUD.

Lot #: 0011-042026-1
BUD: 07/29/2026

I was instructed by the ER doctor to not continue using these specific vials and I will be notifying Greenwich of this incident as well.

Also before anyone questions the steps I use before preparing my medication and injecting myself I’m just going to list them anyways:

  1. Wash hands with CHG soap.
  2. Spray counter with isopropyl alcohol and wipe it down.
  3. Wash hands again with CHG soap.
  4. Grab materials.
  5. I visually inspected the vial before I removed vial cap and thoroughly wiped down the rubber stopper with an alcohol swab and let it dry.
  6. Wipe down injection site with 2 alcohol swabs.
  7. This specific dose I opened a new pack of needles and grabbed one and drew up my dose while the rubber stopper and my skin dried.
  8. Inject.
  9. Dispose of needle in sharps container.

I am aware the risk of infection/cellulitis is never zero with injectable medication even with proper handling of medication and needles, but if you have vials from Greenwich with same lot# be extra cautious if you use them.

I will update later with Greenwich’s response after I call them.

I did my first injection of my vial from Greenwich yesterday afternoon. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and I was overheated and drenched in sweat. When I woke up this morning my injection site was red and painful and has now become a hard lump under my skin.

I’m currently monitoring for a fever, icing my injection site, and monitoring the spread of redness and any warmth.

I’ve never had any kind of reaction like this to Tirzepatide before nor vitamin B12. I’m kind of concerned about cellulitis and may just go straight to urgent care when they open in the morning.

To any of you who do this or think this is a proper way to dispose of needles, please do not do this. The FDA explicitly states to NOT dispose loose needles in regular trash. This is just so careless and concerning.

You can use any FDA approved container such as an empty laundry detergent bottle as a sharps container.

I’ve seen a few comments about people just throwing their vials in the trash and while it’s not the biggest issue, it is still a bit of an issue since glass vials are meant to be disposed of in a sharps container because it’s \*sharp\* when it breaks. Not to mention there usually are a few drops of medication left over so it should be disposed of properly.

The comments just kinda bothered me as I’m a nurse with OCD and this is what we’re taught in school and it’s the procedure we follow in the hospital.

I also wanted to bring up the Novo Nordisk sharps container you can request for free that comes with a return shipping label for when it’s full. It is technically meant for people who use Novo’s products but they do not ask for any sort of verification when requesting a container.

Here’s the free sharps container and disposal service:
https://www.pureway.com/novocare-rx-system-request-page

I discovered this from this subreddit a couple years ago, but I saw a post asking about where to dispose of their sharps, so I thought I would make a post for those who don’t know about this free service. 💉🤍

And in case you don’t have room to keep the box it comes in for when it’s time to return it, you can always search for sharps container disposal near you and take it in person somewhere for drop it off. The boxes they come in are big and I’ve had an issue where I just tossed the shipping box because I didn’t have any room to store a big empty box for months.

Edit: Actemra also sends free sharps containers and you can request a free travel pack that comes with an ice pack as well, but I don’t believe they offer a prepaid shipping return label.

I just got my order today. I did select Hallandale at checkout but my prescription was written for Align Tirzepatide with B3, I received Greenwich with B12, and my package was sent from Experience Care Pharmacy?

I saw someone in this subreddit saying Align wasn’t licensed in their state and I was curious about that, come to find out ALL three of these pharmacies aren’t licensed to dispense or ship medications in my state either.

All of my other orders with Gimme have been Hallandale and BPI and I’ve never had any weird things like this. Even with different telehealths and pharmacies, the prescriptions, packages, and medications all originated from 1 singular pharmacy.

I was worried my meds wouldn’t be cold on arrival as they shipped my package on Friday and it just got here today, on Tuesday. The ice pack was melted but still slightly cool, and the vials were still cool to the touch. The BUD’s are all 07/29/2026.

Has this weird shipping/prescription/medication thing happened to anyone else?
