Long shot - but has anyone got one of these floating about?

Morning all, so as it’s a bit different I thought I’d post this.

My brother in law has a thing for Hublot, he likes them, personally I have no idea as to why, but he really does. So as a birthday gift I picked this up when I saw it go across my suggested feed on the gate.

It’s not my usual iwc, tag or panerai so not really my thing, but it is different to what you usually see on here.

Case and bezel are really clean, it’s meant to be titanium on gen, but the brushed steel is pretty clean to be fair, the H screws are pretty close to the pictures of the gen I can find online, I haven’t seen this in gen so am having to go with images.

Strap is silicone with a deployment clasp, made to look like leather and is (I tried it on) actually really comfortable, the clasp looks like it’s going to be chunky but actually wears really nice, no digging in or anything, which I was surprised by.

Dial is very clean, the sunburst actually is very nice in the sunshine, I’ve tried to get it in the pictures, but it’s even nicer in real life.

Movement is a decorated automatic, it’s not a miyota, probably a variation on a 2813, but for the price I wasn’t expecting super clone status or anything.

One thing I did notice is the rotor is engraved rather than skeletonized, but to be fair, how many people actually know hublot that well? 🤷‍♂️

I’ve dealt with the seller a few times now and he actually threw in a display box for me as well, he usually charged for this, but as it’s my 5th watch from him he gave me a free one. I’ll add a picture into the comments actually.

I've had these Cloudtilts for about a week now, and I'm genuinely impressed. Pickedthem up mainly for everyday wear rather than running, and they've pretty much become the trainers I reach for every time I head out. They're really comfortable straight out of the box—no rubbing or breaking in needed—and they're surprisingly lightweight.
The cushioning feels spot on for walking, especially if you're on your feet all day. My only slight gripe is that they had that weird smell out of the box, but that left after a day or so.
Fit is TTS, I’m an eu45 in all sneakers and these are spot on.

Stitching is good, one small crease on the right foot near the top of the toe box, but hopefully that will loosen with wear, elastic laces are a good touch for the old and lazy (me).

Seller was good, asked me to measure my foot to confirm sizing and sent a picture of the shoe to make sure it was correct pre shipping. Arrived after 18 days ish (I was on holiday so didn’t spot the exact day they arrived) boxed - which was a bit mashed up but still saved the shoes a bit.

Overall a solid 9/10 will happily deal with again.

ASICS Gel-NYC in hand review

Ok so more sneakers, I appear to have swapped watches for shoes this summer, which is annoying my wife, but heyho..
Up today are asics gel-nyc, in Ivy smoke grey, I don’t have many colours outside contestants black or white for daily wearing, so went looking for something different to my usual and these looked nice, so had to cop..
Mesh/suede/leather(PU) upper and a surprisingly bouncy sole.
The green suede panels are pretty good for the price point, they have movement and don’t feel stiff, fairly smooth, there is like I said movement when you run your finger over them, the green suede has a sort of matte look to it, so the shoes go fairly stealthy, not super in your face.
Comfort - the tounge and heel are nicely padded, they are very comfortable on your feet, I went for a walk this morning wearing them (on my treadmill I’m not crazy, it’s 35 degrees in the uk) and considering there was no break in period, my feet are fine, no rubbing or anything like that. I ordered tts im an eu45/uk10 and they are great.

Shipping was 15 days exactly, they arrived in a lot of bubble wrap, with inserts that side them to keep the shape.

Seller is ‘uushoes’ who I hadn’t used before but they were great, checking in and letting me know where the parcel was, which I haven’t had the seller do before to be honest. Nice guy.

So continuing my sneaker/trainer story arc I wanted a pair of very clean summer air forces, so went with the all white, I’m old and didn’t know who/what supreme is, but figured that I quite like the red branding. 🤷‍♂️
Shoes themselves, very nice, well padded collar/ankle, really nice on my feet, feels like a premium pair of a solid everyday shoe.
Whites very clean, there are a couple of marks on the shoe from where the red laces have rubbed against the leather, but they clean off easily, so will just go round and deal with that. Couple of loose stitches where they have been cut off, but it’s the end of the thread rather than the actual stitch, so nail scissors brings that up as well.
Arrived boxed, wrapped in supreme x Nike tissue paper, no evil smell which was a bonus. Socks, a football wristband and two random football stickers as well which made me laugh.

Ok, so I have a problem with sneakers in general, I’m starting to feel like I have a need for an intervention or something, but this time, it’s not a casual pair, it’s a bit more funky, a bit more athletic, which is not my usual thing, but here I am.

The Alo brand is known for clothing and gym wear and these are its first gym/performance style shoe. They looked nice, figure they are niche enough that no-one’s going to call me out on them so why not…

Which leads me to these, a really nice dark blue/navy colour, slight reflective seam down the outside of the shoe. Very clean and suitable for both casual and walking etc.. as these are reps I wouldn’t advise doing a long run in them, but, I’ve used them for three days in my treadmill at home and they are fine, no blistering or sore spots, feel nice and supportive in the ankle are etc etc.

Material is a breathable mesh, soft and really nice to wear to be fair. The sole is a little stiffer than I was expecting, but that is apparently how they are in gen as they give more support. They have the curve at the front to help you push off when you walk (run) and they have a nice cushion feel to them as you walk along.

Seller was great, very chatty, recommended going up a size as they run slightly small so I did and they fit perfectly - these are an eu46/uk 11 I’m usually a 45/10 in Nike or adidas.

Shipping was just under 3 weeks, 25 days to the uk, they arrived in a (huge) box which is branded and had Alo tissue etc. amusingly the tag on the shoe, the card label thing, was for a pair of leggings which did make me laugh.

Otherwise, solid pair of athletic sneakers.

9/10 for me. Happy to recommend.

When I saw the new releases last month, this dial stuck out to me, the pop art inspired dial just told me to buy it. Sooo after looking around and sing them appear in the gate I decided to go for it…

Dial is really nice, bracelet is tight and not tinny which is a bonus, it’s advertised as a 2813 inside, but it has the whine like a miyota, I’ll pop the back off and check at the weekend, but you know what I mean, it’s not whirry just whiney..

Clean, looks good and the dial pops.

Ok so I have these already in the off white and they are really comfy to wear round the house, saw the new colours and yeah, had to get a pair…

Sizing is great, colour is superb, to the point I’ve retired the old pair and I’m just going to use these ones now.

Really happy with them, the nodules squeak a little, so some talcum/baby powder gets rid of that. I’ve also found that heating any slides up with a hairdryer then putting them on while hot helps them mold to your feet, so I’ve done all of that and literally, chefs kiss.

This time it was something for my wife, she loves her handbags and getting her something means she doesn’t moan when I get another watch, soo win win for me…

This time it’s a Tabby, this version is one of this years versions, denim material rather than leather and embroidered cherries all over it.

Stitching is clean and looks neat. Inside is a brown leather (?) which is also quite neat and well stitched, strap matches the interior, there’s a crossbody and a shorter one as well, which matches the gen ones.

Only issue with this is the side panels are the same leather as the inside, whereas this years version has denim sidewalls, it’s also slightly darker denim than gen, which I guess would fade a little as it’s used.

The bag is nice and soft, sits well on her shoulder and doesn’t feel like it’s made of cardboard.

Shipping was very quick, just over 2 weeks, £58 including shipping in dustbag with lots of bubble wrap.

Decent 8/10 for this.

Current obsession is Nike trainers, these are very very nice, leather is tumbled/textured properly, the stitching apart from two loose ones in the back of the tongue looks very very clean and retail accurate, the colour is spot on, the green stitched swoosh at the front and the air tag on the back are also neat and pretty good.

I’m fairly sure there will be something that is off to retail, but for me, these go to the top of the pile of nice shoes I’ve bought.

Shipping took a little while, around 25 days, no box but were well wrapped in bubble wrap with the little card foot things inside to hold the shape.

Size is good, fits well and the tongue/collar feel really good. Sole is solid and has some spring, doesn’t feel thin or cheap. Insoles look ok, but I always swap them out for something decent anyway (I have dodgy old man feet).

Priced at just over £33 shipped, they are just outside the budget price bracket but are definetly worth the money.

Seller was great and to the point, didn’t mess around which is always nice.

Ok so my second pair of summer dunks arrived yesterday morning, SB Dunk Low Pro this time, very very clean looking, white is crisp, the gum sole contrasts nicely and the tongue has a nice padded feel to it.

Quite like the ice white/blue tint to the tongue as well to be fair.

Purchased these as a summer sneaker to go with shorts and seeing as it’s hitting the annual two weeks of summer we get in the uk, perfect timing.

Seller was a new one to me, but for the price - currently £20 shipped - you literally cannot go wrong. Also arrived with the box, which was folded up in the package, so if you keep your boxes, it was pretty much mint.

£20, shipped, took just over 2 weeks to get here, 17 days to be exact. I’m ordering some for my wife and daughter today just so they have a couple of pairs to take on holiday this year.

Price - £23 inc shipping (arrived in a box but I didn’t pay for one so 🤷‍♂️)

Picked up a cheap pair of the Grey Fog Dunks - blame the amount of decent trainers that keep being posted in here! - and honestly I’m impressed for the price. Shape is decent overall, toe box isn’t overly chunky, and the color looks pretty close to retail in natural lighting. The grey panels maybe run a tiny bit darker side-by-side with authentic pairs, but on foot nobody’s calling it out.

Materials are better than I expected too — not premium or anything, but softer and feels fairly good, rather than the cardboard leather you get on some budget reps. Swooshes are clean, stitching is mostly consistent, and the heel embroidery came out centered which seems hit or miss with the cheaper batches.

Comfort is basically what you’d expect from regular Dunks. Flat but wearable for everyday use. I went TTS and fit was good.

Main flaws:

Tongue is slightly thinner than retail

Inside stitching has a few loose threads

Box was obviously rep quality and arrived absolutely mangled unfortunately.

Overall though, for a mid-tier pair these are solid. If you’re just trying to rock Grey Fogs daily without paying resale, I’d say they’re worth it. Most people won’t notice unless they’re legit checking from 2 inches away.

Overall they are what I wanted - cheaper pair for the summer, if they get wrecked it’s not the end of the world.
