Matcha has developed the rumblies which only hands can satisfy

they've been relocated to the basement at my mother's house due to the heat (28° indoors at my own house lmao) and it's so cool down there they don't even need ice packs. Anyway here they are (they're saying beep boop beep boop)

Matcha had no interest in the car they inherited from Salt, but Mochi was very pleased

Salt crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. His health took a nosedive over the weekend and be wouldn't even chew his critical care or take any water. He'd been on so many medications since December and I think he was just so tired. I was gonna take him to the vet again today but I could tell he was done, so I told him if he wanted to go it was ok and to go find his brother Pepper. He was 6.

He went peacefully, with his head and his right paw in my hand just as he liked to sleep, and he was SO polite in waiting for me to finish the work call I got stuck on until he crossed over. He was on his little sofa all tucked in the twilight blanket from slide 8, so not only did he go peacefully but he left this world a man of culture.

Thanks to everyone for ur support over the past few months, it's greatly appreciated and I got some really good advice here. I'm sticking around because I still have my alien peegs Mochi and Matcha, but they've definitely understood what's happened today; they haven't screamed at me for food even once.

We'll get his ashes back on Saturday - the pet funeral place even does afternoon tea and homemade cakes, so we're gonna make a day of it lmfao
