Why is it that only the discontinued, hard-to-find pieces are the ones to break?

I just dropped a sea mist saucer onto the tile floor.

I’ve had it for around 20 years.

RIP

I’m not going to stop using my dishes but I have never broken anything that I can replace by driving to the store (I live close enough to the factory that it’s a day trip).

UPDATE on styling above cabinets

Pretty happy with this setup and there’s room for more!

My vases did not fit and that bums me out. I’m short and asked for the cabinets to be lower so I can reach the shelves better.

I was vetoed so here we are. It is what it is. I will have a shelf built on another wall so they can go there.

Thanks to this group for the advice. I really like the oval plates back there. And we never use those.

Why do people want radioactive fiesta?

Not judging. Very curious. Isn’t it dangerous? I honestly don’t know. Seems very sought after here. Thanks!

Help with styling

Ok, I know I have too much (and this doesn’t include my really big serving plates and bowls).

I do have a hutch that I can move some things to but not anything we will use often.

These are in order from bottom to top what we use the most.

I do think I can ask the kitchen guy to make another shelf for this too. We just renovated an old house.

Up on top I will display my pitchers and vases and this bizarre massive orange cookie jar.

Hi, just picked up a Macbook Neo for my kid heading to college. I wanted an extra charger and he gave me a 20W USB-C power adapter and a 240W USB-C cable. That seems like overkill. I didn't realize it at the time.

Is this going to be a problem or is this fine?
