Spanish dress color off! 💃

I had so much fun colouring this one.
I went for black and gold because I wanted it to look dramatic and elegant… and of course I had to add a matching mantón 🖤✨

Really happy with how it turned out!

What colours would you have used?

Chaos colouring might be my new obsession

I finally tried chaos coloring and I get why people like it.

It felt a bit messy at first, but once I added the shadows, linework and white highlights, everything started to come together.

I tried it on a few different pages and I really like the loose, bold look it gives.

Has anyone else tried it?

Magical night glow in The Bloomfolk: Foxglove Forest ✨

I coloured this page from The Bloomfolk: Foxglove Forest by Oda Agda, and apparently I cannot see a dark background without thinking: “yes, this needs glow everywhere.” 😅

I wanted it to feel like a tiny magical night scene, so I used a dark background and pushed the warm yellows, pinks and purples to make the lights stand out. The lantern was the starting point, but then the clouds, mushrooms and little details joined the glow party too.

I’m really enjoying this kind of contrast lately — soft cute characters, dark moody background, and dramatic magical light. It feels cosy, a bit mysterious, and very much my current colouring obsession.

Tried a chaos colouring background and trusted the process 😂

I started this page with a very chaotic background using Ohuhu Molokai markers with the broad tip, just blocking in colours without overthinking it.

At first I really wasn’t sure where it was going, but I kept adding layers, stronger contrast, white highlights and extra details until the page finally came together.

It was one of those pages that looked questionable halfway through, but ended up being really fun to finish 😂

Page from Lollie Colors 🐰🌴

Would you have trusted the messy stage or panicked halfway through? 😅

Bokeh Experiment: Nail Polish Remover vs Classic Glow

Tried the bokeh effect in TWO completely different ways this week and honestly… I’m obsessed with both ✨

🎪 First one:
“lazy” bokeh using nail polish remover + cotton buds

🌌 Second one:
classic layered marker bokeh with glow, depth and lots of tiny light details

Both pages are from Doodly Bugs and both taught me that backgrounds can absolutely make or break a page 👀

Which one do you prefer?
❤️ Warm circus glow
💙 Dreamy night sky

Started with “I’ll keep this one simple” and somehow ended up rendering an entire fantasy sunset universe 😭✨

Swipe to see the chaos progression →
lineart → base colors → background panic → ✨cinematic glow✨

Honestly one of my favorite pages I’ve done lately 💜🧡

I thought this was going to be a quick cozy page and somehow ended up painting an entire fantasy sunset 🌅🙃

Almost finished now — just a few details left, but I’m REALLY happy with how the purple/orange glow turned out so far 💜🧡

I didn’t expect them to turn out so different… but now each one has its own vibe 😂

First pic is the full page, then close-ups of each cat.

So…

👉 Team 1, 2 or 3?

(also kinda obsessed with the fluffy texture ngl 🐾)
