Marker case upgrade!

I absolutely adore my ohuhus! They're one of my favourite mediums to draw and render with.

I have the 120 set, the 48 pastel set and the 24 skintone set and organizing them has become a bit of a pain without a proper organizer! I also occasionally travel between home and my inlaws three hours away, so having everything in one place is ideal.

I've been eyeing this Prokva marker case on amazon for a few weeks and I finally ordered it. It should be here Sunday! Yayy.

Does anybody have any tips to recreate Chinese Gongbi style art with alcohol markers?

I’ve been itching to try this style of art because it combines fine line work with really desaturated colours. It’s supposed to be with watercolour and gradual layering but I want to see if I can do it with alcohol markers. Any tips to ensure the colours don’t come out too vibrant? I’m doing it in the Ohuhu bleedprood double sided sketchbook.

Spanish dress color off! 💃

I had so much fun colouring this one.
I went for black and gold because I wanted it to look dramatic and elegant… and of course I had to add a matching mantón 🖤✨

Really happy with how it turned out!

What colours would you have used?

Chaos colouring might be my new obsession

I finally tried chaos coloring and I get why people like it.

It felt a bit messy at first, but once I added the shadows, linework and white highlights, everything started to come together.

I tried it on a few different pages and I really like the loose, bold look it gives.

Has anyone else tried it?

I labeled my markers

I recently got a set of ohuhu markers and I got kind of frustrated with the fact that the coloring the cap doesn’t really match the color of the marker, so I decided to swatch each marker on a small piece of paper and tape that piece to the cap of the marker. That way I’m sure it know the exact color of each marker. I made this drawing, once all of the markers were swatched to test the system. It worked out really well

Any advice for shadows/shading?

Hi! I’m new to colouring and I love it! Just finished my first page in my new Bobbie Goods book and hoping I can get some tips for shadows and shading? I got a white gel pen and have put a few spots on but otherwise not sure where to put the accents. Open to any and all advice! Thanks!

Fineliner smudging on Ohuhu marker pad?

Does anyone know how to fix this? I used a fineliner from Staedtler on the Ohuhu Kamakou marker pad, and it smudged pretty badly even before applying any marker. I was erasing my pencil lines and even though the liner was dry (it had been drying for several minutes), it smudged when I erased over it. Any advice?

I Made My Own Chappell Roan Poster! Mixed Media on Paper and About ~60 Hours of Work!

I’m really proud of this piece. I think it’s the best piece of art I’ve ever made! I used fine liners to ink the line art, then worked with alcohol markers to colouring in the bulk of it, layered with acrylic markers and did some fine details with pencil crayons. It was truly so rewarding to see this come together from a simple plan to this masterpiece! I can’t wait to frame it and hang it on my wall after it gets sent to the scanners so I can make a digital copy! 💕

Mixed Ohuhu Honolulu, Pupe and Nahuku for this

I'm new to coloring and I know that I still have lots to learn. I tried using the Nahuku acrylic markers to cover the outline of the monster and the lamp on its head. I gave up with the blending and the shadows for the blue part since I still am lost on this. I am open to constructive criticism if you guys can share some!

Magical night glow in The Bloomfolk: Foxglove Forest ✨

I coloured this page from The Bloomfolk: Foxglove Forest by Oda Agda, and apparently I cannot see a dark background without thinking: “yes, this needs glow everywhere.” 😅

I wanted it to feel like a tiny magical night scene, so I used a dark background and pushed the warm yellows, pinks and purples to make the lights stand out. The lantern was the starting point, but then the clouds, mushrooms and little details joined the glow party too.

I’m really enjoying this kind of contrast lately — soft cute characters, dark moody background, and dramatic magical light. It feels cosy, a bit mysterious, and very much my current colouring obsession.

Book: The Bloomfolk: Foxglove Forest
Artist: Oda Agda
Medium: alcohol markers + white details + black fineliner✨

Ohuhu brush tips

Ive been in contact which a few manufacturers. Sample after samples i've finally found one that is 90% close to the actual ohuhu ones.

I originally just wanted these for myself since ohuhu sells 8 tips for a whopping $10usd/ $14cad

If I were to get more from the supplier, would you guys buy them? how much would you pay for a pack of 50?

Really chuffed with how this turned out

I recently found the whole ‘cosy’ colouring thing and suffice to say I’m obsessed! This was the first full page I’ve coloured. I tried to give it a warm night vibe 😊
