Finished colouring my first page - any advice?
Just finished colouring my first page, I have some experience as I used to do digital art a few years ago but it’s my first time really trying out traditional media/markers!
Is there any advice you’d give me on how I can make it look more polished? I think the sand looks a bit messy but wasn’t really sure how to make it look neat without it being flat, also any recommendation on good white gel pens cause the one I have is pretty terrible?
Any feedback is appreciated 😊
My favorite page so far
I’ve been coloring with alcohol markers since May and this is the first page I’ve actually felt confident enough to post. I love the color palette and how warm and cozy it feels.
First attempt at a beach themed colouring page
I finally went out of my colouring comfort zone and did a beach page but I am not entirely happy with it. I like the colour palette I have going on and the sand came out alright but the sky/clouds and the sea look off to me. I need some advice on how to make those elements look better.
Recent ones on cardstock
I really enjoyed both of these free pages from hygge artful. I used alcohol markers, gel pen, and coloured pencil.
Spooky Cute - First Finished Page
Take this everlasting rose, to remind you of them. It will be painful to walk with your grief, but it is better than to forget.

Polychromos pencils with Caran d'arche luminance white
Uniball Signo Gel
Spent a good few hours on it, first time using my Polychromos pencils, I just replaced my Black Widow pencils with them as I wasn't enjoying them. Really happy with it, and didn't make it spooky for once :)
Whilst colouring I thought of the little poem thing. I've never experienced grief, myself, but I adore the sentiment of not forgetting, but walking with your grief. I see Death as a kind figure, someone who helps others move into the afterlife, here he feels sorry for the dog's loneliness and wants to help him too.
Just wanted to share my progress :3
Just wanted to share my latest and first beach scenes. Latest was colored yesterday and my first ever beach scene was done at the beginning of June. Pleasee share your progress photos with me!! 🌸 🌸 🌸
Randomized color pallete* for what would've otherwise been an extremely boring page
WIP page
Trying to get over my fear of ruining a page :) I think the curtain came out decent
Fall Coloring
Obsessed with creating fall scenes at the moment anybody else? :)
Some completed pages from this summer!
I stopped coloring for a while. Life got a little hard and it fell to the back burner. I'm glad I've been able to get back into this summer. Here are some of my favorite completed pages I've done recently!
Pen set reccomendation for "Coloriages Mystère" colouring books
There are so many nice Coloriages Mystère books, especially for Disney. But I just realised again why I barely work on them. They need so many midtones, it's madness.
So does anyone know a big set which should cover most colours needed in the books? Or is it a matter of "pick close enough colours and layer"?
'Art Deco' yes/no?
Bottom line, got to do a colour combo I wanted, AND went crazy with gold marker and pencils. Still a win in my books.
