Cozy Corner - Outdoor Bistro
I decided to do this page using only some duplicates I just bought and a few acrylic pens.
Jade Summer - Sewing Sisters
I got inspiration for this one from Pinterest. My mother in law asked me to color her a page and her favorite hobby is needlepoint/cross stitch. But idk how I feel about removing a page from a book. I wish I had bought the digital book and printed out this page instead.
How is everyone organizing their markers?
I am a bit overwhelmed with the amount of markers I have now. I started with the 120 set, and basically expanded until I had all of the available colors. As of now, I've been keeping them in the bags they came in, just tipped on their side. Eventually, I want to get the fancy wooden storage shelves. But, regardless of how I store them, I would like to organize them by color. Has anyone else done this? Did you just do it by eye, or does a list exist online that organizes them by color? It just seems like it would take forever to do it by eye. I will take any and all suggestions, thank you!!! :-)
Swatched my new markers
I just got my first order from The Marker Monsters! She threw in two extra markers, a white gel pen, some cute stickers, and these swatch cards! I also got a 30-slot marker holder. Such a fun package to receive on a boring Tuesday.
I think I'm addicted to buying these markers
I officially have a problem with buying markers, lol. I created a spreadsheet to track which markers I own/still need. I started with the Honolulu B 120 Set, then got both the pastel sets (Sweetness & Blossoming). Then I got the 48 Mid-tones set, then the 12 Portrait Set, the 104 Set, and the 36 Skin Tones Set. I also bought some single markers from The Marker Monster website, before I committed to getting the 104 set so now I have a total of 458 markers, and a little over 100 of those are duplicates. Oops! BUT, I think I'm going to take some of my overflow markers and make custom color palettes with them to give away as Christmas gifts with a cute coloring book. I know my niece and sister would love that as a gift so it's not a total loss. Plus, there are a few duplicates of colors I think I'll use often so also good to have a few extras. The 120 set was certainly a gateway to my obsession, lol!
Cozy Corner Title Page
I used alcohol markers, metallic gel pens, and acrylic paint pens.
Sunset Canoe Ride
I love this one! It’s from the Coco Wyo Cozy Cuties book. I did look up a picture on Pinterest so the credit for creativity isn’t mine. But I had fun doing it! 🩷
Pinterest Inspiration
This is my first time trying to recreate a page. But I saw this one on Pinterest and thought the water looked so cool!
Best Acrylic Paint Pens
What is everyone using for acrylic paint pens? Particulary to go over the black lines on your coloring pages? I have a set with a brush tip that are great, but don't have the level of control I'm looking for to outline things. I also have some with a fine bullet tip that you have to shake and press down to make the paint run into the tip. I think the tip is a little too fine for my needs. I've looked at the Sharpie Creative Markers, but not sure they'd have the required opacity. Any advice? Posca is another popular option, but wanted to get everyone's feedback first. Thanks in advance!
Temporary Marker Bag
I wanted a temporary marker bag to transport my supplies upstairs from my craft area in my basement. I got this $6 tote bag from Walmart. Not the greatest but serves its purpose for now. I can’t fit all my markers in it but enough to complete a page. What does everyone else use when they want a portable option?
