Which bonding shampoo and conditioner is your fave?
Hey all fine hair people! I've been using the Loreal Elevive Bond Repair line for the past 6ish months. I do like it, but it seems like once I've been using a shampoo and conditioner for a while it loses its magic. I was thinking about trying something new. I don't use it as an everyday shampoo and rotate it with a clarifying and moisture shampoo/ conditioner through out the week. I'm currently using the Suave daily clarifying (my fav!) and the CereVe Gentle hydration shampoo and conditioner. I do use a k18 mask once every 2 weeks when I clarify.
I was thinking of trying either the Suave Bonding line or the BondBar from Sally's line. Has anyone tried these or have other options? The K18 mask is my big hair product splurge so I don't really want to spend the money on Olaplex unless it is totally worth it. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Anywhere take broken tvs for free?
I have like 4 broken tvs in my garage that I want to get rid of. I know there are places that you can take them that cost money but I would rather not do that.. I know there is a recycling day, but I think it is in the spring and would like to get rid of them before hand. Thanks for any help!
Suggest me a book that is hyped on the Internet that is actually worth the hype.
I saw a post earlier that asked the opposite so I thought I'd ask. I'm recently able to get back into reading after a head injury and don't really know anyone who reads so I am usually limited to online reviews. I just read the book Yesteryear after my hiatus and really liked it a lot. I then read Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilenbrand and liked that too, although an easy, kinda uneventful read. I look forward to any suggestions! I usually read all genres except Sci-Fi/ Fantasy, but if it has an engrossing story I'm up for anything!
Happy wedding weekend, Swifties!
It may be a special weekend, so I made a dress for my girl Punky Gooster to celebrate! Cheers!🥂
Not to be dramatic, but please tell me someone here has successfully taken a medrol steroid dose pack and been successful?
So a brief history of me: 3 years ago I started having seizure like activity, hit my head multiple times which resulted in several concussions. I have had a head ache since that escalates to multiple migraine days a week. I have stroke like auras, vertigo, can't walk, it's a whole thing. HOWEVER, I rarely get nausea and it usually goes away by the 48-72 hr mark. ( I'm on Nurtec, Sumatriptan, Adjovy, beta blockers, and had my first round of Botox in April.) I have now been soooooo sick for 10 days and my new neurologist just prescribed a medrol pack. I took my first dose yesterday but I am now more nauseous and didn't sleep. Anyone have success? Should I keep pushing through? I usually have a "this is your life now" attitude but, man this blows. Any advice would be lovely! Thank you!
I'm actually impressed!
I just tried the new Elf Haircare line and I am thoroughly impressed. Apparently they are all dupes for top of the line products that I have never used so I can't give an accurate comparison unfortunately. The only thing I haven't used yet is the wand but my fine frizzy hair was smooth and shiny after blow drying! I highly recommend if you are in the market for new hair stuff! My only gripe is I don't think anything has heat protection so I still needed Pantene 10 in 1, but other than that I really liked it!
The battle of the rose bushes
Hi friends! Any idea why this is happening? Bugs eat my rose bushes every year yet I still fight them with all my might. My older rose bush is of course being eaten yet my rose bush I just planted this year is not. I treat them with the same love and care ( Neem oil, rose food, fertilizer, an aggressive spray with the jet nozzle daily) however one is still being eaten while the other one is not. Any thoughts on why this is happening?
Some side notes- the rose bushes are right next to each other. The older bush isn't as janky as it looks, it just bloomed all at once and working on a second bloom. Also, the bug munchies have been gradually getting better, I just left some sacrificial leaves for them to eat instead of new growth.
First pic is the new guy in town, the second ones are the old bush.
3/4 of the way through my tribute to my dog tattoo. Should I add more flowers?
Working on my first big piece. My corgi Elizabeth passed away a few months ago and was my soul dog. I am 42 so I am past the point in my life to care how large it is. ( I worked in corporate banking for 12 years and visable tattoos were frowned upon.)
Is the spacing ok? Should I add more? I go back in a few weeks to finish coloring in and highlights. Thanks for any feedback!
Also, the tattoo is not upside down. My pup laid on her back all the time so she is purposely that way!
Has anyone seen any actual results using Matrixyl+ Argireline?
Hey friends! I've been using Matrixyl and Argireline in my nighttime routine for a few months. I started with the Ordinary but have been avoiding their products and switched to Asterwood. I guess my question is has anyone used this combo long term and noticed results? I'm almost out and am debating if I am going to reorder since I try to keep my routine as simple as possible. I do use tret .1% every night. Since starting it I have also gotten Botox for migraines so it is difficult to tell if it's actually doing anything. Any feedback would be wonderful! Thank you!
Has anyone tried this?
When I have migraines the only thing that sounds good a lot of the time is pickle juice, but then my pickles....run out of juice. I usually prefer Claussen but they don't sell it by the jug 😕
Best product to keep eyes moist?

My mother: a rant
My mom moved into my house with my family in 2009. This seemed like a good idea at the time as both my husband and I had 50+ hour a week jobs so this would help with house, childcare, etc. she built a bedroom/ bathroom onto our house so she would have a separate wing.
Fast forward 7 years, a pandemic, and me being diagnosed with a chronic illness putting me on disability and unable to work.......
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IF THIS WOMAN DOES NOT STOP FLICKING HER CIGARETTE ASHES INTO MY GARDEN BEDS I AM GOING TO HAVE A FULL MENTAL BREAKDOWN.
Gardening is one of the few things I am able to enjoy when I am having a good day. I spend hours in my garden piddling. It's my sanctuary. I just watched her from my son's window smoke a whole cig sitting on
my patio wall and ashed the whole thing into my zinnias. She does this every single day.
Now you may ask why I don't ask her politely to not do that. Because that, folks, would ruin mother's day. 3 years ago I politely asked her to not smoke in my teenage son's coat as it was making it stink ( none of us smoke) and she literally blew up and wouldn't speak to me for a week. So here I go, biting my tongue, to go clean up cigarette ash before I mulch. I'm sure my anger will be much worse later when she ashes all over my fresh mulch. I mean why would you not ash on new black mulch? That would take actual thought
Happy Mother's Day Eve Everyone!
