I’ll be joining UBCO around Dec/Jan as a graduate student. I was wondering how much would a studio or 1 bd would be. also, if you have any recommendations on what neighborhoods are usually better in terms of community and also public transportation, in case someone wanna leave a bit further from the campus.

Do we have any postdocs here? I was wondering what’s the normal pay for postdoc position at UBCO.
Hi all! I will soon be joining as a postdoc in UBC Okanogan. I was hoping to get some help from my fellow postdocs or even PhD students to inform me about how usually tax is handled and how much is the deducted from their paychecks. Of course, I know the tax brackets could be different, but if I could get some examples (of course if people are comfortable to share ) that would be really helpful. I’m trying to understand how much I am lift with, and if I can plan my life in Kelowna with what is left.
