So, long ago in the pre-AMG, early 2.0 years this conversion was nichely popular. After unburying my old X-Wing minis I found my WIP version, from before I'd gotten into 40k.

Well, nowadays I had more tools and more bits, so I finally pinned the wings and went about mounting an assault cannon off an OG 40k Land Speeder.

I've slept on it, and I think I hate it, but I'm not sure if I'm ridiculously over-thinking this or if it's worth ripping off the big chaingun, carving off the rest of the G-1A's chin, and finding a different, more modest turret to use.

So, like any online denizen, I ask the internet for its myriad opinions and hope to spark a worthwhile discussion to either validate or quiet down my own sentiments before I go about repainting this to match the rest of my Scum fleet.

First two are the failure, Centauri Carbon 2, using basic Elegoo PLA, automatically stopped the print due to extrusion failure at the printhead. The part is the first two images, the layers that look like some kind of abrasive pad peeled right off.

But, I didn't see a(n obvious) clog, so I re-sliced the part to two components and printed one half. Said print (3rd image) has layer issues I'm not even sure how to describe.

I've never had problems like these before. Do I need to disassemble the printhead to check anything? Are there other tests I can try that don't involve mechanical surgery?
