Business Development Partner/ Business Co-Founder

I am looking for someone based in the USA or with direct access to the US baseball market, who brings professional experience, ideally has already helped build own products, works hands-on, and has a good understanding of business development, social media, community building, and digital marketing. What matters to me is someone with drive to help build a business independently at first as a side hustle, with the realistic option to later move in fully if the results are good.

I have a complex software solution for analyzing player data in baseball, which is to be marketed in the USA. The solution is a baseball analytics solution for scoring, statistics, lineup analyses, and data-based decision support in amateur baseball. The focus is clearly on travel ball, high schools, colleges, academies, universities, coaches, amateur baseball organizations, and prospectively also softball.

The vision behind the solution is to help amateur baseball teams make better lineup and player decisions by turning existing game data into measurable performance context.

The solution is not positioned against scoring apps. It adds value on top of them.

By combining sabermetric methods with AI-based analysis, the solution gives coaches a practical decision layer for player evaluation, lineup building and role optimization — especially in environments where data is limited, uneven and difficult to interpret by observation alone.

I bring the product, technical basis, baseball data model, scoring logic, analytics approach, and the development of the solution so far. I am looking for a partner who helps build business development, market development, partnerships, sales, social media, positioning, and the business case.

You are involved from the beginning in building the market for the Baseball Analytics App, the solution. As Business Development Partner, you work on, among other things, the business model of the app, are responsible for the business case, and establish partnerships in the amateur baseball environment.

With your work, you lay the foundation for our customers to use scoring, statistics, lineup analyses, and much more in the app in the future and to benefit from new market developments in data-based analysis in amateur baseball.

Your Tasks

You are jointly responsible for the development and implementation of a clear business strategy for the app and the development of a new business field in amateur baseball in USA.

You further develop the app business model, e.g. user groups, analysis universe, subscription/pricing models, and are responsible for the business case.

You build a reliable network in the amateur baseball environment and/or actively bring this network in.

You develop approaches for social media, community building, reach, and digital marketing in the baseball environment.

You establish contacts with potential business partners, explore opportunities for partnership, and conduct contract negotiations independently.

You are responsible for generating revenue and results — from the first idea to scaling.

You position the solution as a relevant player in the target market of baseball analytics and amateur baseball.

Your Profile

You have successfully completed a degree or have experience in a digital company, ideally in the sports/baseball-tech space, in the field of baseball sabermetrics, baseball coaching, data-based analysis, social media, digital marketing, or a comparable role.

You have already helped build own products, worked on digital products, or have hands-on experience with AI tools, AI-based workflows, social media, or community building.

You have proven experience or strong interest in business development, ideally in building new business fields.

You have an established, reliable network in the baseball or sports environment or the ability to build such a network.

You have a strong interest in digital products and great enthusiasm for baseball, amateur baseball, data-based analysis, and digital communities.

You think entrepreneurially, strategically, and at the same time hands-on.

You have a good sense for market mechanisms, opportunities, target groups, social media dynamics, and scalable business models.

You enjoy actively driving growth and convincing with a clear sales-oriented approach.

The collaboration is initially also possible as a partner/co-founder role alongside another job.

DM me if interested — happy to share the pitch and discuss next steps!

Looking for baseball enthusiasts and data analysts interested in amateur sports data challenges

Influenced by the ideas behind Moneyball and the analytical work of people like Tom Tango, I believe US amateur baseball has real potential for data-driven analysis.

The data is obviously much smaller and more uneven than MLB data, but that does not make it worthless.

I have been working on this for about three years. Currently I have about 14,000 single plays, which is nothing compared to MLB. Still, it is astonishing how reality and calculation match again and again and confirm each other — not only in lineup optimization, but also in wRC+, wOBA, and the overall values.

I would be glad to continue the exchange with anyone who is interested in amateur baseball data challenges, whether from a baseball or data-analysis perspective.

help need , score results - GameChanger scorebook pdf

Urgent: I need your help!!! I need GameChanger scorebooks. I need a few GameChanger scorecard PDFs / scorebooks with substitutions, many plays, many runs, pitching changes, and all those complex games. Long story short: I haven't got enough scoring results . I am trying to find a way to import GameChanger scorecards / scorebooks into a software app.

Don’t worry, I am not publishing anything. This is only for internal testing to find a way to import plays. If you don't mind, send me a screenshot without names – that would be great.

If anyone has some GameChanger scorebooks from more complicated games and would be willing to share them with me, that would help a lot.

Many, many thanks in advance.
