Hello, new student here.
Is NSO mandatory? Although it'd be stupid of me to not attend orientation, I have CPR training on that day which will give me 3 college credits. I just feel like those credits would benefit me a lot more than orientation.
Often times, I can't breathe unless my head is put in a forward head position. When I try putting my head back in neutral, it feels as if my throat closes up and it becomes difficult breathing through both my nose and mouth. It puts immense strain on my neck and it's been like this for a while.
I tried asking my parents to take me to an airway orthodontist/ENT but I was refused and berated. Is there any way I can somehow get an evaluation/treatment? I am a minor (17) and currently in New York (if that changes anything).
