Murder and Rape are not equivalent

Most people seem to consider it morally similar. If someone put a gun to my head and asked me to choose, I'd drop my pants. Rape is a horrific crime and I am not devaluing the severity of it to minimalize it but murder is on another level of immorality. A lot of people treat it as if someone that's been raped is broken for life and that they will never recover or live a normal life afterwards.

It's such an extremely harmful attitude towards victims and only serves to perpetuate a harmful social stigma that makes it more difficult for victims to recover and move on with their lives.

Murder on the other hand has zero prospect for healing or any form of recovery. The person is gone. There's nothing that can be done to bring that person back and has a much farther damaging affect among society than rape does.

I could post your name, address, families names and your workplace online and the only thing stopping me is TOS (and ethics of course).
