I knew Russel was a gamer, but I didn't know they stuck him in Street Fighter under the alias Ed... I see you Capcom
It's 2006, you're on the design team at Lego and you've managed to convince them to use recoloured masked for the Voya Nui Matoran...
So, what recolours does each member get of the Metru Masks?
Beyond recolours you'd like, is there any mask that you think matches the personality of a specific Matoran?
In the track 'It Wasn't Meant To Be' from The Singing Winds, the lyrics mention letting someone down at their birthday table. Track 8 from the new album is called 'Worst Birthday Ever' - is this where things will start to turn sour in the narrative for the new album?
In the track 'I'm In Love With An Outline' from The Flames, the lyrics mention loving/longing for a silhouette/outline/blank image. Both cover artworks for the new album feature a silhouette figure, presumably the mystery man (Pigwig, Clark Kent?).
I think I've probably found as many links as I can for now. Hope you've enjoyed these deep dives. Some might be pretty accurate, some probably wild speculation 😂
In the track "It Wasn't Meant To Be" Kele sings about letting someone down at a birthday table. Track 8 of the new album is called "Worst Birthday Ever".
In the track "I'm In Love With An Outline" Kele sings about outlines/silhouettes/blank figures. The two artworks of the new album feature silhouettes of our mystery man/Pigwig/Clark Kent figure.
I feel I probably can't find much else now. Hope these connections, real or imagined on my part, have been fun for you to read 😂
Muscleworks Gym hoodie and track 6 is titled "Muscleworks", presumably this is the gym mentioned in the lyrics of 22.01.22.
The image is from Kele's talk with Cush Jumbo in her podcast last year, worth listening to if you want more insight on the motivations behind the new album!
Crazy conspiracy time! The lyrics to Blue mentions a lagoon blue car, is the car in the HMV exclusive artwork the same one?
Also track 5 of the new album is called Blue Lagoon.
And less likely, horned rimmed glasses are also in the lyrics to Blue and track 7 is called Clark Kent who was famous for wearing glasses... More of a stretch, I'll admit!
It's already been mentioned that Kele had the tunnel on his shirt for the Tiny Desk show, but is the tunnel also the blurred image from Flirting Again?
Releases next Monday!
