Currently enter my senior year with a 2.7 GPA, is it over?

In my Soph-Junior yr i was slacking off so hard and it came and bit me in the ass. My GPA is a 2.7 entering senior year, but I’m taking dual enrollment next year and transferring into my community college. Whats really worrying me is my mother telling me that its harder to get student loans now, and thats been sitting w me for a while and wont leave my head.

Idk what to really do now, and i doubt i can get a scholarship anywhere due to my GPA. I didn’t do any extra curriculars either, so im actually so lost.on WHAT i can actually even do?

Im probably gonna go through the CC transfer method but is FASFA that bad now? Im worried for my future.

Sorry if this is a low quality post. Thank you all.

Those in CC or Anyone who has a bad highschool gpa, how is it going?

Title says it all Lol. I have a low GPA since i decided to fuck around my last semester of sophmore and was incredibly depressed in start of junior. (unweighted 2.7 weighted 2.8). Im taking dual enrollment classes next year (senior year) and was told theyd boost my gpa up which im not sure if theyll do anything than get me to like, a 2.9..

My parents basically scream at me anytime its mentioned, telling me I wont ever get scholarships and im going to work my ass off to pay off loans. I plan on transferring to CC then transferring to temple after im done with CC, but man does this hurt.

Anyways those who are in CC or overall got below a 3.0 how is it going? Are loans really that crazy? (im sure they are lol).

Is a CJ degree genuinely that useless?

Hey everyone! Im 17 and entering my Senior year of high school after this summer and I want to join the FBI or Homeland security. As I read more information on degrees I’ve read that a Criminal Justice degree is basically useless in every field. My plan was to go CJ + Forensic Science, but im considering to switch to Political Science + Forensic Science.

Doubt if this matters but I plan on doing 2 years community because I did horrible in highschool (unironically my most lowest classes were chem and bio LOL).

So anyone who has done either CJ or PS whats the difference and which is overall better? ik ppl have different experiences, but I really want to make up my mind before I enter college. Thanks everyone! :)

Fast food is genuinely horrible.

Im 17, I wanted a job over the summer to make a quick buck so I applied for the golden arches. First of all, the communication there was horrible. they wouldnt tell me if i was hired or not unless i called them. Even after that, they told me they'd text me numerous times to literally nothing, again I had to call them multiple times for an answer.

Finally I get admitted to work, the first day was pretty calm with no issue since I was placed in the back cashier window. The UI is fucking ancient, and it took me a while to really learn it, but it was fine.

What really made me hate it there was when they shifted me into the front. The GM literally told me how to give food out the window, i did that SAME thing just to hear "YOURE NOT PAYING ATTENTION!!!" "ILL LET YOU GO!!", I NEVER HAD A JOB BEFORE LET ALONE FAST FOOD IM STILL LEARNING?? ITS THE FIRST 20 MINUTES IM UP HERE? Okay whatever. The next day I actually got a hold of everything and i was doing good, until the next day.

Before this there was another manager who was watching me, I could tell he wasnt really fond of me. I come to work sunday, hes all rude to me telling me to refill ice. I do that, and then it fucking starts. Rush hour came along, and for whatever god damn reason they expected me to do everything, when i mean everything i mean EVERYTHING under 20 god damn minutes. I get it, fast food is fast paced jesus fucking christ calm down. Ontop of that, 90% of the entire crew didnt speak english, so when they asked me for something I couldnt even understand them. a BIG hoard of customers pull up and Im being told to do 80 different tasks at the same time, and then these rude ass customers come in yelling at ME for shit that isnt my fault. I was literally sitting there packing orders thinking "id rather be a broke bum than work here."

A lot of these are genuinely "you" problems, but I was treated like shit by managers and staff over there, i did make some good friends though. To any teenager looking for there first job, dont do fast food. Please for the love of god dont do fast food.

I know this post seems very messy, I apologize its cause im sick if you want me to clarify anything in the replies tell me

General Manager hasn’t texted me back about my shifts. Its been 4 days. Am I just impatient or is something wrong here? (USA)

This is gonna be a doozy, but im so confused.

Basically, i got hired at mcdonalds and completed two training shifts there. (To my knowledge they have two managers, the general manager then the store manager. I was hired by the general manager.). Back onto the story though, the GM told me he will text me when to come in for my actual shifts last Saturday 5/30/26. Its currently June 3rd, and I still didnt hear anything back. I texted the store manager who told me “Yeah hi well he said he’s going to text you to come in so he’s technically going to text you to come in a specific day like if he needs you to come in on Tuesday he is going to text you on the morning”. Now, I could just be impatient as hell, but its Wednesday and i texted the store manager on sunday. Should I just go to the store in-person if i dont hear anything by fri or sat?

And yes, I did call the store and they gave me the store managers number. I went for training Fri and Sat, if that helps w anything.

Am I hired? (USA)

Recently I went through a couple of hurdles trying to work at my local Mcdonalds. Yesterday, I went in and filled the onboarding form and was told to call the store after i was done. I called, the manager told me he’ll call me back and if I was able to come Friday and what to wear. I havent gotten a call back yet, and the last time he said he’d call me I had to call first.

Did I get denied? Im confused (USA)

Hello everyone, u probably saw my older post talking about how i went to mcdonalds for an interview, was told to come back 2 days later with my documents and was told to come back w a school id AGAIN. Well, today I went and everything seemed fine, the lady told me she'll call me back in an hour. Its 9:18, I went at 4 PM. Now, what confuses me is that I got a text message about a "7 day employee new hire" survery. Im really confused, but what im assuming is that I got put into the system at least? I could just be incompetent and wait a bit because employers have 2000 other things on their mind, but if anyone has an idea lmk.

Mcdonalds doesnt take Learners Permits? (USA)

Hello everyone, I recently got accepted into my local McDonalds today. I'm 17, and I have a school working permit, SSN & Birth cert. I was told to come back today (Thursday, 5/14/2025) with my documents to proceed the hiring process. As the store manager put my info in, she said that the learners permit expiry/creation? (I cant remember what she said) had to be between 90 days and that she couldnt use my SSN nor the learners permit and she needed an ID. Which makes no sense to me, hence why im posting it here. My passport is expired and i dont have a ID, so I was asked to come back with my school ID Wednesday. I'm confused what a school ID can even do for me, Other than it just saying what year im in and what school year it is right now. I'm overall bummed out but not all that much, but it genuinely doesn't make sense to me why that happened. Thank you everyone!
