Daycare Waitlists

My twins are 3 months old, I’ll need childcare between when they are 15-18 months old. (depending on when if i start work at the beginning of the school year or at the end of maternity leave)

When is the best time to apply for daycare waitlists?
Is this too early? am I too late? 🤣🤣

worried about container baby syndrome

i have 3 month old (1 month adjusted) twins.

my partner just went back to work, so now it’s just me home with the twins.

they both love their babybjorn bouncers, but i’m worried that they are spending too much time in them.

i try to only have them in there when i absolutely need to, ex. washing bottles, pump parts, cooking etc. because they lose their minds on the floor unless someone is on the floor with them. but i feel like they are spending way too much time in the bouncers, and i don’t know what to do because bottles and pumps need to be washed and i need to eat lol. the house is a disaster but honestly i am not to worried about cleaning right now.

any advice on how to get things done with twins or anything that could help them enjoy time outside of the bouncers independently?

thank you in advance

mental health

I currently do not have access to therapy, due to cost and the wait list for public health is over a year.

While in the NICU, a reproductive mental health specialist would come by every 2 weeks, but i live far from the hospital and since i wasn’t local, they were not going to continue services.

What things did you do to help your mental health after coming home from the NICU?

milestone/development apps for preemies

are there any apps for premature babies milestones and development?

i find a lot of the ones i’ve tried aren’t for preemies and doesn’t take corrected age into account.

thanks in advance !

how much does your preemie eat?

my babies are 10 weeks old, 3 weeks corrected and they are eating about 120ml every 3-4 hours.

i feel like that is a lot, but they don’t seem uncomfortable or anything. they do spit up some but doesn’t seem to be much more than usual baby spit up.

corrected age vs actual age milestones

(more of a question than advice, i just didn’t know what flair to use)

has anyone had their baby meet their actual age milestones?

i have twins, born at 32weeks. they are currently 10 weeks, 2 weeks corrected.

my baby boy is still a sleepy boy, pretty much just eats and sleeps, like his corrected age.

my baby girl has long wake windows and is lifting her head during tummy time.

i know comparing the two is bad and baby’s are on their own timeline. and im not looking to speed up baby boys development, i’m happy with where he is at.

i was just wondering others experience of baby’s meeting actual age milestones.

thanks in advance

recommendations to increase supply

I am 6 weeks pp and I try my best to pump every 3 hours. I use Eufy E20 and I have a Medela Symphony loaned to me by the hospital but I have to return it next week.

With the medela, I get anywhere from 75ml-120ml.
With the Eufy, I get a pretty consistent 100ml.

I have twins, so I am getting a perfect amount for one but a bad amount for two.

I am looking for recommendations on how i could increase my supply even just a little bit. I am open to any suggestions!!

Thank you in advance 🙏

Stitches and post partum healing

hello everyone,

i just had my twins recently. i was told that it would most likely be a c-section so i feel i got more mentally prepared for that over a vaginal birth.

last minute, baby a flipped head down and decided that she was ready to go LOL!

I got a second degree tear and am DEFINITELY sore!!

any advice on healing with stitches from a vaginal birth and just any other advice for healing from a vaginal birth?

Very much appreciated in advance!!
