Got my first citizen complaint

Today I finally received my very first citizen complaint. I knew it had to be coming, being in EMS 6 years and a paramedic for 3. But, It’s still making me a little bit uneasy.
The patient complained that I scared them, made fun of them, and did treatments without explaining what I was doing, along with turning the camera off. I will say, none of that is possibly true. Even at my lowest points, my patient care is never below what’s expected. And of course my team has my back, my partner knows none of it is true, but this patient is persistent. Not to mention, the patient was at the time on narcotics begging me for Narcan. Weird call to begin with.
Nonetheless, I know it won’t amount to anything but it still kinda sucks.

[misc] intense razor burn help

So I have truly been dealing with this my (24f) entire life. It’s this weird interaction my body has when I get cold and then react with goosebumps. Particularly on the outside of my calves and then inside of my thighs. The problem is when I shave it’s okay, but then as soon as I obtain goosebumps all hell breaks lose and I get rashes, pain, and itching sensations. I have tried all different brands of razors and shaving cream (currently on the brand Bille which isn’t great but it’s the best one I have found for myself). I’m looking for someone with experience that has gone through this too. Also any recommendations on waxing?

First pediatric burn patient

Hey all, I’m posting this in hopes to read what other paramedics would do in my shoes just to keep an open mind! I have been a paramedic for a little over 3 years now. I’ve had burn victims before but never a child. I had a preteen PT with second and third degree burns. Kiddo was taking it like a champ, I addressed the wounds per protocol, fluid and heat management, all the things. I ended up giving fentanyl to help stay ahead of the pain once the adrenaline wore off, he increasingly became anxious and overall just still in pain. My transport time was less than 5 minutes. If you had my patient and had a longer transport time, what would be your first line drug in pain control in this situation?
