Ridiculously Excited
Is it ridiculous for me to be this excited?
I have a good friend coming by next week to help me take a bunch of stuff from a demolished shed over to my storage unit. This got me thinking about the rest of my decluttering, and I decided to find out if there’s any way I can get an extra trash bin or if it’s worth renting a dumpster for trash.
But what I really need is an extra recycling bin because most of the stuff that’s here cluttering up the place is cat food/people food cans, glass containers, litter jugs, milk jugs, old reading material I printed out for classes that I finished and I still have all the PDFs so I really don’t need the printouts anymore… And the cat cans come in cardboard boxes and so do a lot of other products and I just have the stuff stacked up everywhere and loading up bins every week to drag to the curb hasn’t made that big of a dent.
And then I found out while looking up the cost of dragging stuff to the trash drop off or landfill versus renting a dumpster, I discovered that our recycling center is open 24/7 and it’s free!
And now I’m super excited because I can finally get rid of all this cardboard and paper and plastic crap that has been jumbling up my house for longer than I am willing to admit!
Is it ridiculous to be this excited about cleaning? I’ve never felt this way, I want to keep feeling this way because now I’m motivated.
I should also mention that I was diagnosed with autism and ADHD in 2024 and I’ve been burned out for months since leaving my job in December and this is the first time I’ve been excited about anything in years.
