This rifles silhouette is arguably one of the most iconic to date, and is what got me going in the whole clone thing. In my opinion it has aged quite well and is still a great set up.
On this build I think I did a decent job in sourcing the correct stuff, save a few decisions made out of self imposed logic lol.
The lower is of course colt and roll marked which is nice, but not government marked or the correct layout, but it’s one of the better compromises, in my opinion.
To keep er legal I went with the correct colt 14.5 socom but used an extended a2 pinned and welded. Again, not the ideal situation but what can you do. This particular extended a2 seen here is from TNTE, and in my opinion is slightly less gross looking than some of the other extended a2s.
All other parts should be rather un-exciting and correct lol.
I do have a surplus sopmod stock that I might put on it here and there, as I do like it more in use, but man that old waffle stock just has the look haha.
It’s been a fun one, and again, as basic and common a clone as it is, still among my favorites
