50 lbs in 90 days

I hope this testimony will be encouraging for someone. I'm a 60 yr old male and today marked my 90th day on Foundayo 0.8 mg and I've lost exactly 50 lbs. I've gone down two sizes of clothes. My most recent bloodwork shows incredible improvement - I was on the verge of "pre-diabetes - but after Foundayo my AC1 numbers were great. And most importantly, I feel great.

I've been in the "maintenance" stage of the journey for about a week. I've given myself a window of "5 lbs" to stay within. So far, so good. I continue to take 0.8 each day, weigh first thing in the morning, journal nearly everything I eat, and go to the gym 5 days a week. I'm increasing my daily intake of calories from an average of 1300 per day to somewhere between 1700-2000. Additionally, I will allow myself two or three cheat days each month. If I exceed my "5 lbs window" then the calories get reduced and cheat days will be subtracted. Maintenance has always been my downfall. But I'm hoping to do better if I can work my game plan.

Foundayo has been a life-changer for me.

60 days on Foundayo 0.8 - 38.1 lbs lost!

I'm a 60 yr old male and 6'0. 60 days ago I weighted 271.1 and today I weighed in at 233.0. 38.1 lbs lost!!!

In my opinion, Foundayo is just a tool in the weight loss battle. It isn't a miracle drug and doesn't make a person lose weight. It slows the digestive system down and takes away hunger - therefore - giving a person the opportunity to reduce their calories and exercise. It isn't a miracle drug but is a life changer!

I've stayed on the 0.8. My doctor and I see no need to increase the dosage when I'm doing so well and have had no side effects. Maybe slight constipation - maybe. But since I started taking a half dose of Miralax every other day and upping my Metamucil daily - there's no problem there.

I average around 1300 calories a day, around 130 grams of protein, 30 grams of fiber, and go to the gym at least 5 days a week - spending an hour of the treadmill walking at a pace that ends up at 3 miles and 3 days of weight resistance training. I cook everything fresh - no microwaves. I also started a low sodium diet too - averaging less than 1500 mg of sodium per day. My blood work has greatly improved - best profile in years. I've even reduced my caffeine intake to one Coke Zero with my breakfast. I used to drink several in addition to taking caffeine pills to get through the day. Now I have tons of energy.

My goal is 225 lbs and then I'll go into maintenance mode. Historically, maintenance has always tripped me up. So that will be a new battle when we get there.

After One Month - 28 lbs!

Today is my first month anniversary of my Foundayo journey. I'm 59, 6'0, male & weighed 271.1 lbs on my first day and now weigh 249.3 lbs. My doctor renewed the prescription at 0.8 mg. No need to up the dosage if I'm not hungry and losing weight. The only side effect has been the occasional slight constipation, even though I haven't felt constipated. When I suspect constipation, I take a dose of MiraLax and I'm good.

I think the reason for my success so far has been my activity level. In 30 days, I've only missed one day at the gym. I walk approx 2.8 miles in 60 minutes on the treadmill every day. I work out with weights three days a week. Away from the gym, I'm also looking to add steps to anywhere I go. With Foundayo eliminating my hunger, it has been easier to create the calorie deficit needed for weight loss. I've been on a high protein, low-ish carbs diet and have stayed away from all frozen meals. I haven't used my microwave since starting Foundayo. I'm cooking and eating fresh and healthy - averaging 1200-1300 calories a day - with an average of 120 grams plus of protein. Fiber is important and of course, water. My daily average is 92 oz of water (excluding any water and drinks with meals).

Where to get blood pressure taken?

My doctor in Birmingham wants me to have my blood pressure taken (non-home monitors or machines like Walmart has). Who, in Huntsville, offers this?

Week 3 Update - Foundayo 0.8 - 17.3 lbs

59 white male. I'm 6'0 and started my Foundayo journey on July 6 weighing 271.1 lbs. Today on July 27, I weigh 253.8 lbs. A LOSS OF 17.3 POUNDS. From day 1, I've had no side effects. And I've not been hungry for one second. I meet with my doctor this week. Will she keep me at 0.8 or move me up to 2.5? Right now, I'm going to advocate to stay at 0.8. If I'm not hungry and losing weight healthily and no side effects, why go up now? If I plateau, we can always increase the next month, right?

Poop Discussion Warning . . . . Maybe slight constipation? But with less eating and more healthy eating, there's less poop? Maybe I should say I've never FELT constipated. I've taken a dose of Miralax each week just for the hell of it but still no increase in poop.

Other things I'm doing . . . I weigh and take the Foundayo first thing in the morning. Then I go to the gym. Over the past three weeks, I've only missed the gym one day. I walk on the treadmill for 65 minutes at a pace where I average 2.8 miles. I work out at weight machines three times a week. I'm averaging around 1200 calories a day, over 100 grams of protein, and drink 90+ oz of water (excluding beverages with meals). I drink only one Coke Zero a day (before July 6, I averaged 3-5 cans). I have not used the microwave at all since July 5th. All foods are prepared fresh by me on the stove top, oven, or grill. My greatest sugar intake each day comes from a bowl of cantaloupe, watermelon, and strawberries.

Other little things I do . . . Once I get up in the morning, I do not lay down at any moment until time to go to bed at night. Other than home, I try to park as far away from an entrance as I can to get extra steps in and I purposely leave my desk several times a day to walk the building where I work.

My First Week on Foundayo 0.8

59m, 6'0, and began my journey at 271.1 lbs. on July 6. One week later (July 13) - 261.4 lbs. I've lost 9.7 lbs. (I've worked hard, so I'm rounding it up and calling it 10 lbs.)

I've had zero side effects. No nausea, no bloating, no indigestion, no headaches, no diarrhea, and no constipation. I take the Foundayo as soon as I wake up with about 8 oz of water, go to the gym, and eat breakfast when I return. All other meds I take later in the day or at bedtime.

I could post a very lengthy post in all the ways this past week has been filled with positive changes - everything from the exercise routine, motivation, mood, energy, good sleep, and even household chores. I'm eating high protein and lowish carbs, weighing and journaling every food item, and preparing all meals on the stove, grill, or oven. The microwave hasn't been used all week. My goal is 1900 calories per day but usually land between 1000 - 1500. I'm averaging over 100 grams of protein, around 100 oz of water, and around 30 grams of fiber. I've not been hungry one second the whole time.

I know every week won't be like this one. But I'm off to a better start than I ever imagined. Thank you, Eli Lilly.
