Anyone received any information from this program?

I'm from Nepal. TU Ilmenau gives an "applicant confirmation" to apply for a study application visa (so we can book embassy appointments early, without waiting for an admission letter).

Two questions:

1. Can I use this document like an acceptance letter to book a visa appointment at the German embassy?
2. If I get a better offer from another uni later, can I switch universities after getting the visa?

I'm planning to apply for a student visa for Germany (winter intake) and I'm currently waiting on my acceptance letter. A bit stressed because I know visa appointments can take forever to get.

A few questions:

- How long did it take you to get a visa appointment after you started trying to book one?

- Did you make it in time for your intake despite delays?

- Is there anything I should be doing RIGHT NOW while I'm still waiting for my acceptance letter, documents to prepare, things to research, etc.?

Does master in MSc Cognitive Systems: Language, Learning and Reasoning require VPD? I'm and international student, the deadline is near so i think applying to vpd now wont matter, so can do anything else?
