My brain doesn’t stop.
So, I made an OC, and because my brain does not know when enough is enough, I made LORE!
This is Katsika Glasmearin, a second year at Kal Asterock and younger sister to Lilas Glasmearin. She originally played for the Roses (For obvious reasons) before joining the nights in her second year. She’s an all-rounder player but is primarily a midfielder and the occasional striker. She uses her horns to make all her plays, including simply carrying and shooting the ball, because having hooves doesn’t give you a lot of options for ball control.
Her tama is called Horn Shift, it allows her to change the shape of her goat horns at will, but she cannot add mass or take it away, there has to be mass there to shift. If she wants longer horns, they have to be thinner, shorter horns, they have to be thicker. Another ability this gives her is the ability to coat her horns in a light kinetic barrier, giving her shots more kick because she mains shoots and carries the ball with her horns.
For context, when Katsika was a rookie playing for the Roses, she tried to block Ragno’s Dragon Fury, and after a few seconds of clashing it against her horns, one of them gave way and broke off. This absolutely shattered her. (Now, I don’t know the limits of magic in this universe if they can just heal this or not, but let’s just say they can’t).
Since she used her horns for everything, she basically shut down, Lilas tried to teach her playing with her hooves, but it was like teaching a baby how to walk, for Katsika, it just wasn’t working, which frustrated her more until she just gave up Gorotama in general, becoming a shut in in her dorm room for the rest of that season and a few games into the next.
That is until Key and Ssyelle, after seeing a picture of Katsika on the Roses team, and her physical similarities to Lilas, they ask her about it. Where Lilas tells the two about it after a few days of pestering. This leads to Key becoming the main reason she picks up Gorotama again, initially she doesn’t even open the door when he comes to talk, but gradually, the two bond over Key’s experience of not understanding how to play Gorotama and his struggles with his Tama. Until she eventually opens the door, where she’s also met with Ssyelle who hands her a prosthetic horn. Initially a wooden horn similarly shaped to hers (with help from Lilas about the size and shape) with a hole for the horn to slip into, which she can actually shape her broken horn to lock the prosthetic in place.
Gradually, she begins to play again, albeit slowly, until she eventually officially joins the Knights for helping her out of her rough patch. Ssyelle eventually pays Caliban to make prosthetic horns out of metal (similarly styled to the Knight’s armor of course) shaped as the three horn shapes in the drawing, allowing her to swap them on the fly, returning her to her original glory.
And even though Lilas is still the captain of the Roses, she isn’t mad about Katsika joining the Knights, she’s actually quite happy that her little sister found her drive to play again, even if they have to play against each other now.
That was a mouthful, anyways. ENJOY!
