How long did it take to get your period after getting hormonal IUD removed?
Hi everyone.
I posted on here sometime last year as I thought I would be getting my Mirena removed and had some questions about how long it takes to get pregnant. Well fast forward to July 2026 and I finally got my Mirena removed on the 22nd of July. While doing the ultrasound, the doctor told me she could see I ovulated around 2/3 days prior, and explained I probably won’t get pregnant during this cycle due to still having the IUD when ovulating.
I’ve been trying to determine when I should be expecting my period, and have been using flo(although the data is very limited since I didn’t get my period while on the Mirena).
I’m kinda hoping the doctor’s estimation was off and that I could get pregnant, but I’m also just trying to not get my hopes up.
According to flo I should take a pregnancy test tomorrow if my period does not start today.
Edit:
I did do a pregnancy test on the 8th of August which was negative. I’m just confused about what is supposed to happen now. I still have not had a period. And I have absolutely no idea where I am in my cycle.
