Advice on whether to leave AG church
My husband and I have been to this new AG church for about a year. The church is about 5yo. Most of the congregants are what I might consider baby Christians.
Our issue is the worship experience.
There is the worship leader and two back up singers. One does not wear an in ear piece and sings over everyone and is often off key. Way off key… and holds the note for what seems forever.
I have brought it to the attention of a staff member/friend … she stated that this person came from a larger worship team and loves worship blah blah blah
But imo cannot carry a tune - but she also doesn’t wear her in ear piece. Unless there is a guest speaker (curious)
But I am curious - is this what I should expect? They just belt out “in the spirit” and not consider what it sounds like?
Or can I trust that leadership will make the appropriate changes?
AND what if they don’t?
From what I understand, the worship leader is always asking about the sound … and IDK who he is asking but there is no change …
I am not sure if they are lying to him or if they are tone deaf ???
