It amuses me

It amuses me that you sign a Dec statement with six months left after have been planning on going into the reserves the last 12 months and big army has you jumping through hoops to go into the reserves with this flag. They black list you as if your getting fully out

Schools

What CMFs do you typically see getting the most schools for army personal development. From where I stand I would think 38’s and 12’s but what do you guys think

BDD

273 days until ETS and BDD filing window is coming up. I have a few things I’ve kept under the radar to keep me in the fight and not on profile, do I bring them up now to medical or just save it for the C&P. I feel like going to medical tomorrow and dumping injuries and issues at once won’t do much to fix the problems other than just getting it on paper.

Who’s currently a RCC

I’m currently AD ETSing soon and trying to transition to the Reserves. The installation RCC is either never there or non-existent and my battalion career counselor has no insight or interest in the reserves transition. I hit my 180 day window in December so I wanted to see what I’m currently eligible for with rank, line scores, any waivers needed etc. I know it changes weekly but I wanted to get a feel for what my options are before I try and fit in a BSEP class before I get out

C&P exams scheduling

To plan ahead with possibly fitting in a CSP course, from the date of submission BDD how soon do they schedule you. I know online says within 45 days but is that them saying you will be seen within 45 days or you will be booked within 45 days. Also how many appointments do they typically schedule you, is it one appointment for all the issues or is it multiple appointments, mind you I’m only claiming physical issues back, shoulder, knees etc. possibly MH but I’m assuming that’ll be it’s own appointment. If it’s months of appointments within the 180 days I won’t bother attempting to do a CSP

Leaving AD

Leaving AD soon at 11.5 years E6 11B/12B. Which Mos’s should I look into with the highest ceiling for promotions, opportunities, and training. My line scores qualify me for every mos and no to AGR or career Drill, although I will do Drill eventually as a assignment/tour

Where would I benefit the most

Leaving AD and needing to reclass into another mos. Line scores are good for most of anything, Where do you think I could be most useful

E6 12B/11B 9yrs. What isn’t on there- Masters degree, EIB, Mountain Badge, Air Assault, Airborne, maneuvere maintenance leader course and a few others. And no I don’t want to be a career drill, I have no issue doing a drill tour for 2-3yrs but not for the next 10+

Is CA even worth it anymore

Is CA dying down from what it used to be. It seems like TDYs and deployments are slowing down if you are on the outside looking in, anyone on the inside have different opinions. I’m coming up to my window to reclass into it, I’m outside Fort Jackson so I have 360th

Post void dribble

Does anyone have any experience with PVD, I’ve had it for years and got it all documented. I believe it’s from a back injury I had from air assault cause it started right after I messed up my L4/L5 but according to the PC they believe it has something to do with my prostate and pelvic floor (without too much testing). Should I go along with what the PC said or aim it at what I believe it’s from.

For context it’s when u can’t feel when you have to pee so you leak throughout the day or you pee and believe you’re done but you release the rest later on in your pants.

0%

Weird question that I can’t find the answer for. I could care less about the $138 or whatever they give for ED but if they rate you for 0%, are you eligible for any type of treatment or prescriptions since it’s considered in service related

Going over 20

Is or did anyone ever go over 25,30,35+ years in the reserves. If so what would be your best advice or pro/cons of why do it/not do it.

USMC medical record

How do I obtain my USMC medical records if I was in 2011-2017, I’m in the Army now and my PA is asking for them- I guess she can’t see them? She can see my 20% rating when I first got out but not my total file. Also would that 20% be grandfathered? Or would I have to refile for those two claims.
