Can barefoot shoes work for long distance bikepacking?

Barefoot shoes are my shoe of choice for hiking and off the bike activities, I just feel much more comfortable in them. I have vivobarefoot Magna forest ESC's which are a fairly sturdy leather hiking boot. I haven't tried doing long distance in them yet, but I have tried some of my other barefoot shoes just on rides around my neighbourhood and my ankle/arch tend to get fatigued fairly quickly likely due to the lack of support. Has anyone had success touring with barefoot shoes? It would be nice to have one pair of shoes that will work on and off the bike so I don't have to carry two pairs

Bike packing in barefoot shoes

I have the Magna Forest ESC which I love as my everyday hiker boot. I'm wondering if I can use them for bike packing trips? The ESC soles are fairly thick because of the lugs, so i'm considering taking them as my only shoe on long distance rides. I usually take a standard trail/hiking shoe for on the bike, and my barefoot shoes whilst off the bike. I am much more comfortable in BF shoes for hikes but not sure they'll work for long rides. I've tried other BF shoes for riding in the past but after a while I get fatigue in the arch/ankle probably due to the lack of support. I use flat pedals.

Fin brands and shedding experience

Prepared for down votes on this but just thought i'd share my experience anyway.

18 months fin only user. First 12 months I was using 1 brand ordered from Oxford Pharmacy UK, first 2 months I experienced shedding, which then stopped until month 12 when I got my 3rd order of Fin from them. They sent a different brand this time, as opposed to my first 2 orders (I order 6 month at a time). From month 12 to month 17 (5 months) I had heavy shedding. It would not stop, I could just lean over the sink, shake my head a couple times and there would be a rainfall of hair in the sink. I have a quite a lot of hair so whilst it was strange seeing so much hair fall consistently for 5 months, I was just expecting to ride it out and assumed it to stop soon. Well on month 6 I got my 4th order of Fin. This time they sent the same brand I had for the first 12 months. Since taking it my hair has stopped shedding all of a sudden. I even have some of the other brand Fin left over but I thought let me just start with this new order straight away to see if it was actually the brand. I know it sounds stupid, and its likely just a huge coincidence, but it does seem strange how all of a sudden my hair stopped shedding after taking the original brand Fin again. I mean how long would my hair of continued to shed that much? Is there any proof to this and has anyone shared a similar experience?

1P tent + inflatable matt feeling way too cramped

I'm new to backpacking and just bought a used Terra Nova Laser Compact 1 because I liked the pack size and its only around 1kg in weight so fairly light. I don't use trekking poles that's why I didn't go for a trekking pole tent. So now I've just set it up in the garden and put my Rab Ultrasphere pad inside to lay down on and see how it feels. Well because of how thick the matt is my head is pretty much touching the inner and my feet are very restricted. They pretty much have to be together in order not to touch the sides. So no room for movement. I tried my old Berghaus self-inflating pad in there which worked fine and I had plenty of room to move my feet. The only issue is the Berghaus is 600g and the pack size is too large. I'm wondering if its worth going for a short self-inflating matt to reduce pack size? That would then compromise my legs/feet for warm.

Should I sell the tent and get something bigger or return the pad and try and find a smaller self-inflating pad?
