Tracker Leather AT Low II W - issue

Hi! I already own a pair of Vivos and the Tracker Leather Low are my second. The first ones are Primus Lite IV, which I wear to the gym, otherwise I am still not barefoot and now I want to make the switch in other areas as well. I got Tracker Leather Low for walks with my dog (we mostly walk in forest, gravel etc., eventually also for some light hiking). Size seems to be ideal, and I've been wearing them now for about 3 weeks for my daily walks. I don't seem to have any problems, but I did get blisters on my big toes, which still don't go away and it's been bothering me. And also stopping me from wearing them. Has that happened to anyone before? Should I push through so they get really worn in? I'm thinking of returning them.

Sizing?

Hi,

I have been wearing Vivos for more than a decade now, and I always ordered EU size 42. Perfect fit, on any model from any range.

But my last Primus Trail FR 3.5, ordered last year, were definitely bigger and roomier, to the point I almost found them too big without big socks. Primus Lite Knit Natural ordered at the same time are absolutely perfect.

I have just received the email about a 50% off selected models, and I am considering buying a pair of Primus Trail Knit FG, plus a spare pair of my beloved Primus Lite Knit Natural.

The size guide chart says 41… But considering the Primus Lite Knit Natural are such a perfect fit in 42, and I had always 42… unless my feet are shrinking, I am second guessing the whole thing.

Any advice and opinion on this very serious first world problem?

--

edit: I could / should have started with that, but I end up having a chat with Vivo support, and they told me that the Primus Trail Knit FG are "true to size" and that I should order my usual size. So, despite the chart saying 41, I still went with 42, and cross my fingers toes.

Advice for my first pair(s)

Hi all,

I'm in the EU and was thinking of taking advantage of the sale to buy me a couple of pairs of Vivo.

I'm mostly asking about sizes and fit, since I found different opinions on how wide/narrow they are, and the fact that different models often have different fits.

I'm 27cm in length and 10cm in width, I "normally" wear a 43EU - but for example I normally buy Nikes in 44.5 (only models which already are forgiving, like Pegasus Trail) to compensate for their narrowness. The other barefoot shoes that I own are Lonowear wild (43, a taaad too narrow), Lonowear flow (43, ok) and Dolphies (42, a bit too large).

I'm in the market for both a boot (I'm looking at Tracker Forest, Tracker Leather, Magna Forest Esc) and a lower shoe that I can use in the summer months (Primus Trail, Primus Flow).

Just looking for advice on sizing of those models from someone that owns them. I'm on my feet the whole day for work, but I'd also use them to hike from time to time.

Cheers!

PRIMUS LITE IV vs 3.5 Sizing

I’m planning on ordering a pair of the Lite IV, but noticed that the website now recommends ordering your normal size instead of sizing down with the previous model.

Does anyone have experience with both iterations of the Primus Lites? Did you have to change sizing with the IVs?

No idea where is the order

Update: they told me the packet has been lost, they refund to me and they accept to make me the same discount for a new order but it's the second time a packet from vivo lost, how can i be sure that is will not happen again....

Vivobarefoot marked my order as “shipped” 16 days ago, but the tracking still shows the package is dispatched, after talking to the stupid bot they give me a real tracking number but the courier don't know about this order.

At this point I honestly suspect they don’t have the size/color in stock and simply don’t want to admit it to avoid losing the sale.

Even more frustrating: every single day I only get replies from the same useless chatbot and not a single human from customer support has contacted me yet.

Can anyone identify this older Vivobarefoot Gobi boot generation/model?

EDIT: Thanks so much for everyone's responses! Had one more question.. My foot is 27.5cm long and 9.5-10cm wide. The insoles are 28cm x 11.5cm.
Seems the length would be perfect but I'm not entirely sure about the width. Would love to get everyone's feedback on whether these would fit well.

Thanks!

Trying to identify older/discontinued Vivobarefoot Gobi boot generation

Someone local to me is selling these older Gobi boots, and I’m trying to figure out exactly which generation/model they are.

Seller described them as “original” Gobis, but I’m not sure whether they’re:
- original Gobi Hi
- Gobi Hi II
- another older/discontinued variant
- or possibly a Terra Plana-era model

Does anyone recognize this specific version based on:
- paneling
- tongue/logo
- heel construction
- outsole
- overall shape

Also curious:
- how these older Gobis fit compared to newer Gobi models
- whether sizing changed much between generations
- and whether these older versions are generally considered better/worse than current production.

Normal quality?

Just received the Primus Lite IV in Obsidian. This is a new shoe brand to me so trying to figure out if this is normal quality for these type of shoes.

There seems to be dried dirt/glue etc on the side of the shoe. Cleaning does not remove it. It’s not present on the other shoe, so I’m just trying to figure out if it’s just the material or an actual quality issue.

Magna Forest Esc Leather Splitting

I've had these for almost two years now, but really haven't used them much at all. Kind of disappointed to see this splitting of the leather on the back panel. Not really sure what the cause is. Has anyone else had this? Wonder at what point to try to get these fixed by ReVivo.

Scratches/leather imperfections on brand new ra IV

Hi community,

So I bought yesterday my first new pair of Ra IV.

When I arrived home, I noticed some minor scratches and imperfections in the leather. I’m far from experienced in leather products and as I said, these are my first pair.

Do you think this it’s worth going back to the shop and asking for an exchange? Can these imperfection be repaired through waxing? Are they normal leather imperfections?

Many thanks in advance for your comments!

Comfy but more barefoot everyday shoes for someone wearing Lems and walks 15k+ steps everyday

I’ve been wearing Lems primal 2 (about 10mm stack) for about 3 years now. While the primals aren't unwearable, they’re showing its age since I’ve worn them for more than 3000 miles/5000 kms.

Longer foot is 25.5cm/10inches and Lems US size 8.5 works perfectly.

Both feet are about 3.95inches/10cm wide (E/EE). Based on Anya’s reviews my foot shape is of a “Mountain”.

The Lems are pretty comfortable. My goal is to get a pair of shoes that works for most Day to day use cases.

i am not sure if my feet are wider than average or wider or average for the normal barefoot shoes with a wide toe box.

I guess since there were a lot of Vivo content recently because of the 50% deal, I’m looking for a shoe that’s versatile like the primus lites but I’m unsure how comfortable they are or compared to the Lems.

there was a post on the primus knits which was pushing on some users foot from the top. So this is a use case I wanted to avoid.

TLDR

- comfy like Lems primals

- lower stack height and more barefoot

- wide toe box and zero drop

- versatile and for urban walking

VIVOBAREFOOT Motus Flex Tabi

I hurt my knee (I think it’s a meniscus strain) and I’m finding it very difficult to walk comfortably in raised heel or spongy soled shoes.

The best way to relieve my pain whilst walking is to go barefooted, so I used that as an excuse to cop a pair of these 😊

I‘m guessing I’m gonna get a few strange stares whilst out in public but I’m already limping so who cares 😂? I love ‘em so far!

My new Tracker Leather Low II

My new Tracker Leather Low II trainers have arrived. I was hoping they’d come with the same laces as the high-top Leather ATs. They look similar, but they’re white instead of grey, and I don’t really like that. I’ll have to see which ones I swap them for.

Need recommendations for Vivos (Tracker Forest / Magna Forest / Primus Trail Flow)

I have several questions about Vivo Barefoot shoes. My current barefoot shoes are the Xero Mesa but they have too much volume for my foot on the side and on top.

My stats are:
Gender: Female
Feet lenght: 25,5 cm
Width: 9,6 cm
According to the size chart I would chose size 41.

Tracker Forest ESC (all black):
I would use this for bad weather / winter / muddy terrain. But I also consider them as work boots as a police officer. Not sure if they look too extraordinary or not serious enough for this job. My question is if they would fit and if people who own this shoe would recommend it as a replacement for a combat boot.

Magna Forest ESC / Primus Trail Flow:
I also need a replacement for my summer hiking shoe (before Adidas Terrex Free Hiker non goretex). I love how light and breathable the mesh was and that it wasn‘t water proof. The Primus would fit this criteria. But the leather of the Magna would be way more durable. Which one would you recommend as the best summer all terrain hiking shoe?

Motus flex size, too big ?

Howdy

Got myself sone motus flex in the 50% sale.

Not sure on the size. Have a thumbnails width between edge of big toe and top of shoe, but by the foot on insole test I seem to be correct.

Feels OK , little loose maybe but not sure if a shoe like this should be more glove like? Or if I go a size down will my toes be all constricted.

These are size 13 UK 48 EU my recommended size off vivos Size chart for my foot lenght of 30.5cm

PSA: Half sizes & Sizing in general

Hi all, I just wanted to explain about half sizes. Vivobarefoot don't make half sizes. But what they do is make full EU sizes. This is important because whilst US/UK sizes are sized every 8.47 mm, EU shoes are sized every 6.67mm.

This means 2 things:

  1. the conversion between EU to US/UK is somewhat erratic, and explains why it looks as though they make some half sizes. They don't, it's just a rounding / conversion issue. Also your normal US/UK shoe size may not correspond exactly to a vivo shoe size.

  2. True US/UK half sizes would be every 4.23mm, EU shoes in most brands typically don't do half sizes since their full sizes are every 6.67mm and this is generally good enough. So Vivobarefoot is actually doing what most European shoe brands do.

It wouldn't make sense for them to make "half sizes" unless they switched their entire system to true US/UK sizes. I personally think using EU sizes is a good compromise and allows them to not hold too much stock (remember barefoot shoes are still pretty niche).

I know my vivobarefoot size (EU 42 = UK 8), but I'm always guessing in other shoes whether I'm a UK 8 or a UK 8.5 and always flipping between the two. If a vivo UK 8 doesn't fit me, I know right away it's purely a volume / last issue, not a length issue, because I've found their length to be pretty consistent. I mean they even use the same insoles.

So measure your foot length in the socks you normally wear (preferably in the afternoon, and both feet). And consult the foot chart. I'm amazed at how many people completely ignore the foot chart.

https://www.vivobarefoot.com/us/size-guide#size-chart

Finally once you get the shoe, take the insole out and put your foot on it. There should be a fingers-width extra room beyond the end of your toes. Any more and it's too long. Any less and it's too short. If the length is correct then you know any remaining sizing issues are to do with width / last / foot shape / volume.
