Tracker Ora Sandals?

I got gifted a pair of the Vivobarefoot Tracker Ora Sandals but have no idea what to use them for. They're waterproof and good for hiking in the summer I was told? Are they also good for long walks in the city? They seem to run a little big for me but I'm not sure if that's normal for what it's used for?

Dark skin due to insulin resistance?

Hi, I used to take metformin 10+ years ago and it sort of regulated my periods but not consistently, and because of nausea I stopped taking it. Back then I had dark velvety skin in my inner thighs, aka acanthosis nigricans, and it got way better with metformin.

Recently I’ve noticed some slight darkness again but I’m honestly not sure if this is normal or not. Has anyone had this go away with any other treatment besides metformin?

(And this isn’t NSFW, just tagged it as such)

Thank you!

Positive effects of birth control?

Hi all,

I'm in my mid 30s and have resisted taking birth control ever since I was formally diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20s. I tried Metformin for a few years and it regulated my periods sort of but it didn't help with weight loss (aside from some weight loss at the beginning due to nausea) and mental health at all.

I'm now doing more research and reading about how some women with PCOS have great experiences with birth control, from easier weight loss to improved mental health. I have really bad anxiety and my initial resistance was because I've heard BC is bad for mental health, although that was from friends who were taking it solely as birth control.

Has anyone had good experiences with BC and if so which BC did you take? The idea of trying out different types of BC in a trial and error kind of way also did not make me warm up to the idea when I was younger but I'm at a point where I'd like to give anything a try.

Wearing too small band size a problem?

I lost 20 lbs recently and have been trying to figure out my new bra size. I was a 38D/ 36DD before, and fit the 36DD Wacoal bra pretty well. Recently I measured my band size and it's about a 35. I went and got a 34DDD bra from Victoria's Secret and it's tighter than my 36DD Wacoals which have loosened a lot with wear. The tightness kind of makes the fat around my side back area stick out the sides of my straps, but at the same time the cups fit very well and snug.

Is there an issue with wearing a band size that's a little too light for you?

Lagree NY vs Form50 for Pilates/Lagree ?

Hi all,

I'm a big fan of lagree/ Solidcore-esque workouts and I was thinking of joining either Lagree NY or Form50.

I haven't tried either but I've done lagree at many studios in other cities and at SLT in Manhattan. Form50 is on an xformer like Jetset which I've been to many times and also like, and it seems to like a club-y low lighting aesthetic like Barry's or Solidcore vs Lagree NY.

Has anyone tried both and can tell me which one has harder workouts? That's really what I'm looking for, the more challenging class, as I don't really need a lot of form corrections. I know Form50 has different sequences daily which all instructors follow. I'm unsure if Lagree NY is like that or different instructors can set different sequences like SLT, Solidcore, and you have to go to more challenging instructors.

Anyways, thanks!

Does HCCM hire core crew?

Hi, I've been trying to apply to be core crew for a year now, applied to all the locations in my city but never heard back. I know it's a sought after gig so I was wondering if the HCCM is the one that interviews and hires people? The HCCM of a location is teaching tonight so I was thinking of taking their class and asking if they're hiring anytime soon.

No more Advanced65s?

There’s no option to search for Advanced65s anymore on the Solidcore app? I notice the ones offered in the NYC area are all gone. I’m sad, I was working myself up to take one

Forever grateful to Lemonade

I bought cat pet insurance for the first time 1.5 years ago for my boy cat who always had bad anxiety. I never used it because it was impossible to get him in a carrier to honor the vet for checkups.

A month ago he was acting abnormal, not eating and howling in pain and I noticed him trying to use the litter box but nothing came out. It took hours to get him out of his hiding place and finally I got him to the ER at 2am in a panic. They ended up hospitalizing him for 2 days for kidney failure and bloody urine due to a urinary obstruction which cost me $7150.

As I had no medical records for my cat prior to this it seemed like they were trying to see if it was a preexisting condition and delaying approving this. But finally today I got an email saying they’d be reimbursing me 90% minus the $100 deductible.

I really can’t recommend buying pet insurance enough.

Vaginal discharge?

Hi all,

I have PCOS and over the last year lost 20 pounds (from 175 to 153ish) and gained a lot more muscle due to going to pilates, lagree and power yoga classes regularly. I also took a low dose of Mounjaro/ Zepbound on and off for about 2 months, which helped with inflammation and kick started the weight loss, although I'm not currently on it.

My period though isn't really regular (it was when I was on Mounjaro to begin with, then wasn't, so I've been inconsistent with taking it because I've been exercising a lot and trying to see how that affected things).

I've noticed a huge change in the amount of vaginal discharge though, where it seems like it's very excessive and watery, and all the time. I first noticed this while on Mounjaro/ Zepbound, when I first lost the 10lbs although I'd been gaining muscle and exercising for months before that without weight really budging. I saw on the Mounjaro forums that some people also had this effect. But when I stopped taking it it continued. It's to the point where I change my underwear in the afternoon or I wear pantyliners because it just feels wet.

I know it's hormonal changes but I don't really understand why and if it'll be permanent. Anyone else have this issue? I'm mid 30s if that helps.

Thank you!
