Little detail I noticed in the manhwa

Cm doesn't look very old in his first life, despite being around 80, but you can see the little triangle hair that's sticking out is grey.

when he was younger it was the same as the rest of his hair which is a fun detail from the artist to indicate his uncness

What happened to the box full of panacea?

Near the start of the story CM went to the old cave he used to go to to drink without being caught. The reason he went was to get the panacea he left there for hangovers. I remember there was a whole box. Did chud eat them all or is he keeping them there and just forgot?

I might just not remember what happened or if it gets explained. But seriously what happened to it.

Colette’s feelings on Elfaria and why she was so upset in the latest arc

https://preview.redd.it/adkln4k91d9h1.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bfdcc74eedd3a319cb8992560ffaf162eb6221f

So, originally I was gonna use this a comment, then I locked in and made it too long so here we go:

Colette’s feelings on Elfaria? It complicated.

The entire thing where she yaps about hating Elfaria because of her “abandoning“ Will? That’s her genuine belief. To her, Will is the kindest most amazing guy and Elfie just sits atop the tower doing nothing to help him. She’s too shy to ever admit her feelings to Will and knows he will shut her up if she even says her true thoughts to him. In her own mind, Elfaria is a deity like person who just watches in amusement as Will chases her, not doing anything, while she is and has been by Will’s side to protect him and support him, but he only has eyes for Elfaria. She knows this, but since Will has never verbally admitted his love (I don’t think he knows yet) for Elfaria, she keeps trying

So imagine how she feels when Elfaria goes on the field and hugs Will while crying. That whole image was ruined. And she also saw Will be happier than she has ever seen him. She watches in awe as Elfaria fights for Will against another magia vander who is stronger of a fighter than she is. Another thing she probably despised is Elfaria’s confidence. She was doing this whole thing for the chance to be with Will again, she gets back up after being knocked down and says it’s because of love, she literally calls him her bride and is willing to throw magicless hands with a person who was trained with dwarven techniques. Also, did you notice the reaction of everyone in the bloom (excluding the new members that just came here) no one. AND I MEAN NO ONE in that room looked surprised at either her words or actions: magia vander, vice captains, members and leaders of factions, heck even Aron didn’t even blink when he saw what happened This shows us, and Colette, that Elfaria has made everyone in that tower that Will is hers and hers alone. No other faction leader tried to even argue when Will was to select a faction, only one brave and determined enough to fight Elfaria was Zeo.

All of this, plus her unmatched beauty, power, and her being a genius spell inventor is something that Colette will either take years to get, or will just never have. And one of those things she’ll never have is Will’s (romantic) love.

Tldr: Elfaria is best girl and is unmatched in beauty, power, and confidence. Colette knows since Elfie’s and Will’s feelings are basically mutual, climbing out of that friend zone will be harder than climbing the tower and dungeon combined.

I still love her character though and I hope she gets her own happy ending somewhere cause she sure isn’t gonna get the ending she wants with Will

A theory on why there can only be 5 magia vander in at once

Chapter 57: this is Baal, the lord of destruction and apparently the king of all the celestial hosts (if anyone reading doesn’t know)

So when we meet Baal, we find him sealed away at the highest floor, a place only magia vander can enter normally (reason why the two of them are there is due to special circumstances and Finn wanting to see what will happen if Baal were to meet Wil)

Right now, the seal on him doesn‘t seem to be the only thing that keeping him there. He is being impaled by 9 wands.

My theory is that those wands are the special magia vander exclusive wands, and all the wands need to be there, at least 9 of them to keep him in place. So there can only be 5 wielders of these wands at a time, and those wands are necessary to preform the barrier spell. So there can only be 5 special wand users at once, and the rest of those wands remain holding Baal in place until a magia vander retires or dies, their wands returns to Baal’s seal, and an ascendant selects or is selected by (idk which way it goes) another wand.

A bit of proof on why I think this:

Elfaria’s ice maiden staff has a sharp bottom

Both Aron’s and Elfaria’s staffs have a similar fancy and grand design

My first reason is, the only other mages we see wielding staffs are the few of the elf faction that we have met and those in the earth faction, and theirs don’t seem to be as “grand“ as the ones the magia vander wield. Also, the ones we see, like Elfaria’s have a sharp bottom, unlike the other wands and staffs, and perfect for impaling something

The magia vander, most of the time, use much smaller, normal wands (Elfie, Elenor, and Cariot) while Zeo and Aron seem to be using their own bodies to cast magic such as smaller barriers, and the blessings of their factions. We see Zeo using an extremely powerful spell using his hands. So why not use normal wands when casting the barrier, most likely because said barrier can only be reached through those wands

If the tower is so desperate to keep the 5 magia vander alive, why not have more. You need at least 5, but why not have more just in case? This would also prevent the same thing that happened in Termanalia from happening again where the magia vander couldn’t help because of just how much mana they’ve depleted. So the more magia vander, the less of a chance that none of them can intervene if something like that happens

(there is also other minor stuff like the names of the wands. The ice faction also is technically the water faction, but what if a magia vander specializes in water more than ice, wouldn‘t another staff be better than the “ice maiden’s wand,” ect..)

So my theory is that due to the limit of how many staffs can be removed from Baal before it can influence the world and maybe harm those outside. It would explain on where the magia vander wands that are to be given to the other factions that don’t have one currently and would also explain why the magia vander wands seem to be a mix of wands and swords (some of them resemble weapons more than staffs like cariot’s spear looking one and Zeo’s which looks like a battle axe)

Tldr: Baal is sealed using the special magia vander staffs / wands and only 5 out of the 14 can be used at a time without it affecting the seal, which is also the amount needed to preform the barrier.

This one’s long but tell me if I miss anything.

Theories as to why Iris hates Finn and how she knows his actual name (Invess)

My first theory in question is that Iris, and probably her family / predecessor were people who protected / hid the “wistoria” bloodline. As we know, Finn has spent years trying to get the people from the same bloodline to wield the power of Wis through combining wand and sword. But he couldn’t hide this or do it alone as he‘s got a whole other job to help with dungeon exploration for the last 500 years.

The magia vander and elves clearly don’t know anything about this plan (explaining their surprise at Will’s transformation) and had the high elves known than their queen would have known. But it seems that Iris not only knows somewhat of the plan and the doomsday clock (explaining her worry about Finn taking away will) but also knowing Finn’s true name in the first place. Being part of a family that has close ties with both the headmistress Caldron, Finn, and wis and its history would explain this.

My second theory is that Finn is the reason why that bloodline died; or at least part of the reason. In both manga and anime, we see his pushing to see Will’s limit, even showing him Baal. He seems to see no harm in risking Will to see advancement in his wielding of Wis (as long as it doesn’t mean certain death) He never steps in and always watches from afar, even convincing characters like Aron the magia vander king not to interfere and to wait while Baal’s room was invaded, leaving two new graduates to deal with Charle who’s been a high mage for years.

Now, wouldn’t he have gone just as far in with previous generations. Seeing as to Will’s ability and potential to completely master Wis, whoever came before him must have been close, or at least starting to reach Wis’ awakening. And Finn, wanting to reach his goal, killed whoever came before Will. Who knows, maybe someone from the family escaped Finn’s grasp in hopes of freedom, abandoning Will in the orphanage so he could have a chance of a normal life.

This would be a perfect reason for Iris, who admires Will and hardwork, to dispise Finn. She‘s a watcher, and a high mage working right under Aron, meaning that she‘s at the very least 16, meaning she was old enough to witness the attack 10 years ago, which was likely the reason for everyone else in Will’s bloodline to die. And Iris, who (in theory) was a member of this family who has been working to protect and hide this family, would have witnessed the deaths of all those in that family, and most likely would have held a grudge against Finn, who could maybe have protected them. She also might have extra malice towards him due to his non guilty attitude. He talks about a show, and uses Will in the same way he did others that came before him, and she sees that.

Other tidbits I thought also lean into this theory:

  • Her connection with the light faction, and Aron knowing of Finn’s goal. It might be that it was the light faction that were the protectors, or perhaps it’s a case of the family having produced talented light magia vanders. She‘s the watcher and is trusted to be in magia vander meetings that even the attendants of the magia vander didn’t attend, she even mentions not joining other meetings.
  • When Aron asked her for the reason Will wasn‘t discovered earlier, she calls it the headmistress’ work. And he believes her (as far as we know) He didn’t question her despite the fact that she is a watcher that dresses up as a student. He talks about Caldron and her schemes, but also doesn’t seem to see a reason to distrust Iris’ judgment (likely due to her past)
  • Her playing along with Caldron’s scheme of hiding Will. Iris knows of Finn’s connection to Will, despite it not revealed to other characters, and the doomsday clock. She helped, or at least looked away, when Caldron both kept Will from being kicked out the academy but also kept him from graduating ( she is meant to report about anything unusual in the academy)
  • Her sword charm. Lihanna carries a sword charm and mentions it being a symbol of luck for a knight carry. Iris never mentions anything about being a knight, and has a title of watcher. This charm is likely connected to her past, and based on my theory, maybe one of the things left behind after the attack. She holds is tightly when Finn says that he’ll be taking Will, worried about his fate because she already saw what happened before.

It also says that her identity is unknown to most, and that likely also means past

But yeah, just random theory. I still feel (and hope) that her character is more than just worried girl with crush on Will. It feels like her connection to him runs deeper than just that and it would also give a reason to genuinely dislike Finn enough to lowk keep dead naming him, as it would give the reason of her telling him that the past and sins connected to that name will never truly fade out. Tell me if I’m wrong in any way cause I might have missed a few details.
