My husband's sister drives me INSANE

So we owe her a great deal since she's letting us pay rent to live in her house. It's a big house, no problem there. And we get along great, except...

  1. She insists on having her shit all over every inch of the bathroom sink which all three of us use. I try to be considerate, especially when I know it's a shared space. Sometimes I'll move some of her stuff to the side to reach the toothbrushes or something but it's always back to being a mess before long. She also leaves dishes and messes all over the kitchen for someone else to deal with. Now my husband leaves dishes around too, but he has pretty bad adhd and as far as I'm aware she doesn't.

  2. She shriek laughs at all hours. Constantly facetiming with this dude who lives in egypt(??) or on the phone and I'll be jolted out of sleep at 2am with scream laughing. (And although this part isn't her fault, she also talks and yells in her sleep) Point being she never even thinks about the fact that other people are in the house. Meanwhile my husband could sleep through a typhoon 🙃

  3. Her dogs aren't trained. The whole family has yorkies and several "use" puppy pads although half the time they don't bother. And the whole family including my husband are completely unfazed by it. Meanwhile every pet I've ever owned has been perfectly house trained and I am losing my mind in a house of piss and shit. I don't want to bring it up because I love dogs and I don't want to seem mean about it, but then I think "wouldn't MOST people be upset by this?"

Again, I am truly grateful to have a place to stay since there's no way we can afford a place of our own yet. I don't know if it's my autism or what, but I really just can't understand people that don't think about others. I'm constantly worrying about annoying people or getting in their way, but some people just don't seem to care at all, or just completely lack self-awareness. And since conflict is my worst enemy, I will never, ever bring these grievances to light 🙃 I will sit on them until we can finally move, then I'll breathe the biggest sigh of relief.
