I was diagnosed 17 years ago. 5 years ago I had a psychotic break and ended up in the hospital. I was assigned a therapist and psychiatrist before my release and have gotten along well with both of them.
I've long suspected I have ADHD. My 2 kids have it. I took an online test (that I paid for) and presented the results to my psych, which stated I had ADHD. She reviewed them and said that bipolar disorder can mimic ADHD, which I'm not sure of.
My daily life can be frustrating due to distractions and executive dysfunction. For instance, today I needed to go grocery shopping and then clean my living room. I started putting the groceries away and started thinking about what I needed to do to start on the cleaning. I got distracted by that and started sorting stuff when I still had groceries to put away. I was eventually able to make myself focus on the groceries, but it took awhile.
I guess my question is do you think I should pursue further testing despite what my psych said?
My grandma has been distributing things. He's Norbert. It was and is a very small town.
I've known about Adora for awhile, but a couple of months ago, I found a video highlighting Hobi and Jin on Jimin's Filter. Then the other day I was listening to Hobi's solo songs and heard Tae and Jin on Trivia: Just Dance and Jin during Outro: Ego. Someone on Discord told me to listen closely to Moon and I realized that Tae is singing the beginning vocals. I would love more info about the backing vocals so I can listen for them.
Forget about award shows, like the Scammys. Their music and talent has been speaking for themselves over the past few months. I often wonder if it's because of ARMY or people who are discovering them for the first time. But the numbers amaze me, as someone who is late ARMY. I feel like I haven't had a rest in almost 3 months! And now, FESTA!
I'm sure there are haters out there who are annoyed with the exposure, but screw them! They are no longer just a K-Pop group. They are a worldwide Pop group!
I used to be a fan of the Backstreet Boys. What I'm seeing now with BTS is very similar to what I was seeing in the early 2000s. The difference is that BTS has staying power because of their creativity and actual talent without gimmicks. The members love each other and love what they do. Everything they have put out in the present and past has been extraordinary, even if they didn't get the recognition they should have for their earlier works.
That being said, as an ARMY of almost 18 months, I've enjoyed this ride SO MUCH and I'm looking forward to their future projects for however many years they are around. BORAHAE!
ETA because I forgot to say this. I've been ARMY since December 2024
I get so infuriated by the gatekeeping by some people who have been ARMY longer. They claim that all us newer ARMYs don't know what the members went through in the past and we're demanding too much.
This is a comment I saw in another subreddit today that made me especially angry:
>armys who became fans now think bts had it easy when i remember the death threats, the hate, the *xols who would send wreaths and trucks wishing for their harm. people who never saw or experienced that type of pain will never understand how hard the tannies had it
I've spent a lot of time watching their documentary series and movies along with hundreds of hours of other videos. I've read books and articles about them. I know I wasn't around at that time, but I'm not ignorant of what went on. That video of them going to the award show where they won their first Daesang and the media was completely ignoring them on the red carpet breaks my heart.
So not directly at the time it happened, but I have seen the exhaustion, injuries, and illnesses they experienced trying to keep up with the grueling schedules forced on them.
So, we've all seen content that has been published where we have seen clips and would like to know where the content is from, usually on montage videos. I present this thread for people to request from other subreddit members where we can find the full video we are wondering about.
My motivation for this is trying to find the VLive of Tae and Jimin where Tae looks like Where's Waldo with Jimin and they pretend to microwave chicken.
I've been able to locate a lot of hard to find videos. I will share them with anyone who asks.
I think this will be a great exchange.
DAE freeze when confronted with huge tasks that have multiple steps?
I'm guessing this is executive dysfunction.
For instance, someone can tell me to go help clean up the basement. I look at all that needs to be done and my brain just freezes. I might pick up something but I'm not really focused on which task I should be doing and just stop. I need specific instructions like "Go to the basement and sort the clothes so we can see what we can donate." That I can do.
I really need to clean my bedroom, but there are so many things to do that once again, I freeze and do nothing.
So basically the things I've set myself I spread over a few days. Like yesterday I switched out the winter clothes for spring and summer. Today I'm going to hang my shirts that I've been neglecting for a month.
But someone tells me to start a big job with no further instructions? Nope.
