Anyone else own both 50s/60s neck?

Which do you prefer and how do you choose which to play and when? Do you use each one for different applications / genres etc?

Two Les Paul’s

My 2025 les Paul standard olive drab and 2013 les Paul traditional cherry. One unfortunately needs to go, leaning toward keeping the olive drab because I prefer how it plays and feel as I’d regret letting it go in a few years time when they’re unavailable

If anyone’s ever wanted to swap 60s steel tuners to keystone

Hey guys. Did a swap on my tuner knobs. Never been a fan of the 60s kidney bean style tuners. Got the knob set over at sologuitars. Was a 10 min swap with a Philips screwdriver

Found a way to get a .com exclusive olive drab standard 60s in Canada

Got myself my first standard today as a Father’s Day present lol. This is a Gibson exclusive Olive Drab model. But somehow there were a couple allocated to my retailer here. So I jumped on it. I love a burst, but everyone has one. Love how sharp it is with the cream plastics

Gibson pickup covers don’t properly align

Hey guys. Purchased 2 pickup covers from Gibson for my Les Paul classic. These are Gibson made pickup covers that are the correct pole spacing and they slightly misalign. Am I doing something wrong? Drives my OCD nuts

Gibson made pickup covers don’t fit on classic?

Hey guys. I got nickel pickup covers from Gibson. Wanted to put them on my Les Paul classic 61 burst zebras. Neck is perfect but bridge is wrong. Does this seem right?

If so has anyone successfully done this?

Pickup wax pot question

Just got this classic for a great deal. I’m not the biggest fan of the zebras. Would they need to be wax potted before getting covers put on? Or do all Gibson pickups come wax potted from factory even if they’re uncovered?

Cool unpainted maple edge (faux binding)

Side shot of the new Les Paul studio. Has the neck binding, and also love how they leave the side of the maple edge unpainted to “replicate” a binding of sorts. Def the nicest studio I’ve owned and played. Really paid attention to detail on this one to give you best bang for buck. The Burstbuckers are chefs kiss

Thoughts on this tobacco burst?

Hey guys.

Just grabbed a Les Paul studio “the one” brand new.

I find the tobacco bursts are all over the place. But what are your thoughts on this one? The burst edge is quite a bit lighter than I’m used to. And has a reddish hue in certain light. Can’t decide if I love it or hate it. Depends on the day lol

When I saw the new studios included a binded neck, nitro finish and cherry sunburst had to get one. LP standard cherry burst has always been a grail of mine. Just couldn’t justify the extra $1000 on the price tag.
