Had to leave my mom group due to dog nutters putting their babies in harm's way

I'm a new mom, and I was in a group during my pregnancy for moms having baby in a certain month, then it turned into a group for us to talk about our new babies and seek advice.

But recently there was a post with a shitbull with its head over this woman's newborn with the caption "Does anyone else's dog think they're actually the baby's mom (insert laugh and heart emoji here" and there were tons of comments, all with large dogs, mostly pitmixes/shepherds/high prey drive dogs, laying directly with the newborns. It was super triggering to see, with all the recent news stories and just knowing how dogs are.

A lot of them were bragging about resource guarding, "She wont even let me get near the baby sometimes, so protective!", or unsafe practices "My dog sleeps under my baby's bassinet every night."

I just left the group because unfortunately there was an incident of someone harassing someone's family on facebook over a disagreement, and I've already faced harassment and even someone trying to come for my former job due to criticizing shitbulls publicly.

But no wonder we're seeing all these horrific news stories recently involving dogs and babies. It disgusts me so much and breaks my heart.

Do you think the rise of Dog Fatigue will make a difference? If so, in what way?

Dog Fatigue doesn't seem to be a small trend, especially since dog owners aren't getting any better. I think a lot of people have disliked dogs for a long time and have stayed silent and masked it, but now it's reached a boiling point.

News articles about shitbulls mauling people on the daily, now it's a rare event when you walk into a store and a dog *isn't* present, off leash dogs, barking sound polluting all neighborhoods, and dognutters becoming more and more audacious by the day with their entitlement and lack of consideration for others. Now even on Reddit, I often see irresponsible dog-owner related things on the popular tab, most recently a mail carrier throwing a package at a charging dog, and the owner getting mad at him for defending himself.

We aren't the minority, dognutters have just used shaming tactics to silence people from having ANY criticism of dogs in any way, such as comparing us to serial killers and calling us evil and unsafe.

But there's only so much people are going to take, dogs are becoming more like pests day by day, especially with how shitty the people that own them are, and I think dognutters might become more of a minority when it comes to customer-base. So the grocery stores and bars that appealed to nutters may slowly start disallowing dogs if enough people make a fuss, people might more openly shame non-leashers and poorly controlled dogs in public.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts, what do you think? I've also felt more comfortable openly criticizing dogs lately and advocating for owners to actually be responsible for these animals, it feels great.

They say it goes fast- and boy do they mean it

Just when i'm thinking I just gave birth a couple days ago, 6 weeks has gone by. How?!?! Just when my brand new baby was a closed-eyed kitten, her eyes are open, she's cooing and smiling at me.

Now it feels like I've known her my whole life when she just entered it. And now, I'm having existential thoughts and can easily see 6 years flying by and her being in elementary school, as easily as I can see her going to prom in the blink of an eye. LOL

Anyone else feel this way? And yes, I'm a first time mom lol.

I think I'm the reincarnation of Brian Rawlinson

He died on November 23rd, 2000, and I was born that very same day. He also vaguely looks like me. When I see him on the screen I genuinely see my soul, we have the same cadence and demeanor. My bloodline is English too. He also is a creative like myself. He also co-wrote something about Churchill, and since I'm a sagittarius/scorpio cusp, That means Brian and Churchill sit on opposite sides creating a (medium) which is me. I think Brian was something amazing and by all this is beckoning me to call a medium so we can speak and I can carry out his life's mission. Is there any mediums in this subreddit?
