Stomach bloating, gain 10 kg in 1.5 month, even though live active life

Male 25yo,live active life, gym 2-3x time a week, doing active job,but somehow gain in 10kg in last 1.5-2 month(approximately have connsumatory anhedonia since that time).

Before connsumatory anhedonia, my weight was 84 and I couldn't move it.Even when I overeat almost evryday.

Now with anhedonia my hunger decrease dramatically,i started eat clean but I gain weight and it seem not muscle but mainly fat.

Stomach bloating,I can wake up with seemingly normal stomach but after small portion of food, it's swelling up.Before I riche that point when I overeat like X2 of normal portion.

Does someone experience something similar?

Can it be related to anhedonia or nerve system/stomach problem?

TMS and ECT for connsumatory anhedonia.Looking for cure specific problem, check description

I had both types of anhedonia, first is version when you not feeling pleasure, but still can truly laugh, love, enjoying company at least for a little, feeling vibe, and push your self to do something.

And anhedonia ProMax all above +

-Substance blockage

-Not feeling tierd or sleepy

-Not feeling comfortable in ANY position(just can't relax)

-You laugh but only mechanicly

-Total unmotivated

So I would like to AT LEAST fix something above even if it would be only one fix it will significantly improve my life.

In my country I can do TMS for money.ECT is free but only if you will diagnose Substance untreatable depression and I am so far from it.

Do anyone had success with treating at least something from list using TMS or ECT?

If you fix some of that problem with any other way let me now❤️

What other illnesses are similar to anhedonia's symptoms?

From time to time I come across posts where people write that their anhedonia was actually something else, and they managed to curve it. So i am curios what may be similar to this disease.

Especially interested in the type of anhidonia where you feel like your body isn't sending signals to your brain, substance blockage,no feeling of fatigue and sleepnes, and your sense of smell is completely or partially impaired.

Different symptoms, different solutions? Or does it all have the same root? Can it be that dopomin influence symptoms that seems not related?

A lot of people here including me dealing with symptoms wich seems to be from different fields of medicine. In my case it all apperd in one week:

- Substance blockage

- No feeling sleep or tierd (Insomnia)

- Almost not feeling smells and food taste

Is it possible to cure one of them not improving other?

Should we go to specific doctor let's say to gastroenterology to cure Substance blockage or it's pointless bc it's in our head?

Does someone managed to cure part of these symptoms even though they all come together?

I am asking this because I want to visit doctor to at least cure some of that symptoms but wondering if it has any point.

For me substance blockage is so far the most horrible of theme and I want to cure it so bad.

Do you feel your stomach?Fullness or Hunger?

Just noticed I can't feel my stomach . I've been fasting for 24 hours and didn't feel hunger, then after a meal I didn't feel full,or some relief, like my stomach detached from brain.

What mechanism behind it?

Doesn't someone experience something similar?AD withdrawal.Need help!

I would say I had mild anhedonia since it started. Couldn't feel much but still had some joy from music, movies, spending time with gf.

And most importantly coffee backed me to past state(atl lest make me feel something again).

But after quiting AD (tianeptin) it worsen drastically and gave me different symptoms.

- Substance blockage,not feeling coffe,alcohol e.t.c

- Tiredness and sleepy feelings disappeared

- Sense of smell got worst

- Anhedonia become more severe, before that I still had worries and at least bad emotions, now I totally numb to everything.

Does someone can relate?or any idea what can help? I don't even know what doctor should I visit since all this symptoms so different but appeared all at ones.

Any treatment?

Let's gather some statistic,it might help us understand why here is so much negative.

Everyone understands that people who cure this either leave this community or didn't even know what is anhedonia. So many deleted accounts,so i am curious if someone cure left here? or we just boil in negativity.

Is there a cure for substance blockage? My job depends on it.Really need help.

How to fix substance blockage? Is there even a point to take AD if brain refuses to take any drugs?

I work in coffee buissnes and big part of my job is adjusting coffe machine in order to make coffe taste as good as possible, and make it strong enough for specific type of coffee, and then i should taste to know if it's good or need more adjustments.

But 2 week ago after quting AD I neither feel coffee bust nor taste.Like I can recognize that I drink coffee but don't feel flavors and coffee itself.

It's such a joke that I just pretending that I feel something at my work.

Fortunately for me nobody yet figured out,but i can't just tell my boss that I not feeling coffe it doesn't make sense 🙃.

It's happened to me after I stopped taking AD(tianeptin),I did it as my doctor prescribed not cold turkey but still has horrible widrowl.Befor quting I had anhedonia but at least I could feel coffee, alcohol.

All symptoms that add up to anhedonia after quting AD:

- No feel any substances

- Insomnia (I literally don't have sleepy feelings)

- Brain fog

- Cognitive issues

- Somehow I don't feel tierd

- Libido problem

If you go back in time and could stop after first or second AD would you do it?

I gave up first AD(tianeptin)after taking 45 days.

After hell widrowl I got severe symptoms.Including substance blockage.

Now I was prescribed vortioxetine

Currently taking vortioxetine for 2 weeks(no effect so far).

So I was thinking is it too late for me to stop taking AD after I developed severe anhedonia or should I continue looking for pills cure.

I now so many pepople complain about shit AD but if you're in situation when you already fucked would you go trie every possible meds?

What alternatives do we actually have?

Your opinion about therapists?

What is your opinion about listening to therapists?

I know most if ppl here hate them because they treat anhedonia as depression and prescribed the wrong AD, which caused more problems. But, not listening to them doesn't seem like a good idea either.

I am afraid to worsen my anhedonia by taking shit AD.

I gave up taking AD (tianeptin) recently because it doesn't do anything with anhedonia. But worsened it.

I changed the therapist, and the new one wants to prescribe me vortioxetine.

Share your experience with therapists, would you go to them if you could get back in time?

WTF is this?Covid symptoms with anhedonia.

Guys I have anhedonia for 2 months and now something strange happened.

Last 2 days I have these symptoms:

- I lost my sense of smell

- lost sense of taste(any food)

- I don't feel tiredness

- Can't fall asleep

(today I slept 2 hours before work and after I get home I couldn't fall asleep even for few hours)

Also it all happened after I reduced dose of AD(Coaxil tianeptin).I don't know if it's coincidence or not but these symptoms don't look like withdrawal.

Actually I feeling a little bit happy about it since now I have chance that all that happening to me last 2 months not anhedonia but some virus.

I really wish that's the case.

How to survive antidepressant withdrawal.(Coaxil tianeptin)

After taking Coaxil tianeptin for 50 days I decided quit it and wanna share with you withdrawal.

And first thing I do was stopped take it completely, and it was huge mistake.I've never felt this anxious and stressed.

Then call my therapist and he told me take 2/3 of dose for next 3 days and then 1/3 dose for next 3 days, and after that completely quit.

(My dose was 3 pillsa a day)

So after lowering dose i take it at the morning and at evening, and during the day i have window when I feel these symptoms:

- anxiety

- stuffy nose

- headache

- sore throat and cough

So basically, all symptoms ppl usually have before got sick. Also, I can't fall asleep if I don't take it before bad.

I am curious.

Have someone have some advice on how to survive it. Right now, I can't imagine lowering it to 1/3,I either won't sleep or suffer during the day if I will take it once a day.

And is there someone who got better after quting AD?

Need advice about AD from someone who tried a lot.

I got anhedonia 2 months ago due to stress. So I've been taking Coaxil(tianeptin) SSRN for 50 days so far and it didn't help with anhedonia.

But it made me numb.

My therapist is willing to prescribe me any AD I want that avaliable in my Country (I live in EU so don't have huge variety)

Bupropion, vortioxetine, and agomelatine are available.(asked chatgpt)

After reading a lot posts here I couldn't come with conclusions whether taking another AD or try to nature heal it.I don't know wich AD should I try next and should I try something else at all.

I don't want to worsen it by some shit AD.

Is there someone who got better after giving up AD.

If I would take another AD I will go with Bupropion.

What sould i do next?

I got my anhedonia 2 months ago apparently  because i had stressful stage in life(job changing, sex failure ,problems with sleep due to work).I've been taking Coaxil tianeptine(SSRE) for 2 months,it helped with stress but didn't cure main symptoms, lack of interest, pleasure, zero libido.

After reading lots of post on this r/anhedonia i got that SSRI doesn't work. And MAOI seems to work better. My therapist telling me that i should forget about MAOI and if my current AD doesn't work then we should look for cure somewhere else(he means not in a mental state) .But he told me if i want he can prescribe me AD that i want but then i will be by my own since i don't listen to him.

So i just don't know what to do,it seems like he doesn't understand that anhedonia isn't depression and main problem not due to stress.

Should i continue listen what he suggest or just use him as recipe giver and cure it by my own.

Is this really anhedonia, or should I look for the causes somewhere else?

Two months ago, I went through a very stressful period in my life: changing jobs, working night shifts, and sexual failure. After these events, it feels like something inside me switched off my ability to feel pleasure from almost everything. Food, music, computer games, sex/porn (I don’t feel arousal even though I don’t have erectile problems). I don’t feel any desire or attraction toward my partner. Also my energy level droped significantly.

After a few visits to different doctors, I was diagnosed with anhedonia and depression. The doctor said that I have a high level of the stress hormone (cortisol). I have been taking antidepressants for 35 days now (Coaxil, an SSRE, which is slightly different from SSRIs). My doctor prescribed it because, unlike many other antidepressants, it does not affect libido.

During this time, I have become calmer, and my appetite has returned. I can enjoy music again, and I feel pleasure from spending time with my friends. However, my energy and libido have not returned.

My hormone levels are all good. The only abnormal result is that my FAI is slightly elevated (normal range: 35–93, mine is 104). I tried to find information about what this means, but I couldn’t find anything suggesting that it could be related to my symptoms.
