Toilets

Exciting right.

We're on our second week back and no one seems entirely sure what the toilet situation is.

We have separate facilities now - girls only and boys only (we're Primary). Until last week these were mixed (our school is 2 years old so it was the "trend") However, nothing has changed for staff - we still have a communal toilet area. I think these too should also be separate, but our senior team are saying no (too much hassle? I don't know).

These toilets (for the adults) are also used by adult visitors to school - parents for assemblies/shows, contractors etc.

Maybe I've missed it, but when I look online it all seems a bit vague with no certain answer.

Can someone help me out please?

Classic Corrie/Modern Corrie Ty's mam

So we know (but I still don't know why) Corrie retconned Ty's mother. An episode or two back Jackie said something along the lines of "I gave birth to him" and yesterday's episode talks about "18 hours of labour"

It still bothers me that they just retcon willy nilly

The Circus 2009 & The Circus 2026

Went to see them both live and often watch the 2009 dvd.

I can't remember crying at the first love show, but I bawl at the dvd. Then, there were moments at the show in June where I was teary.

What is it about it that makes me do that?

There will be no other live experience close to that ever for me

Best Standing Spots

A friend and I have standing tickets. We're both approximately 5ft. We can't go inside the green "W".

Options:

Pink - directly in front of B stage, but may not be able to see A stage

Red - great location for view of both A and B stage

Yellow - side view, closer to A stage, big screens and not as cramped

I want to be *amongst it* but aware I'm not the tallest and would probably sacrifice seeing half if we locate ourselves at Pink or Red

Losing faith in leadership

For context, I'm support staff and not a teacher.

My colleagues and I are rapidly losing faith in our leadership. Our students constantly speak to us like dirt (really vile attitude), eye roll, ignoring safety requests, rules, expectations, just down right don't listen to us at all. We inform management and nothing is done. So the children know they can get away with it and the poor behaviour escalates. It's spreading like a poison. We're verbally abused, we're left to deal with poor behaviour on our own, we're firefighting and sometimes they're nowhere to be seen. We had a really challenging behaviour incident recently and SLT walked in, straight back out and left us to it. No support at all. We've had attacks, items thrown and nothing ("they're sorry now so it's all okay") but then the violent behaviour happened again immediately after. No phone call home, nothing.

We're at our wits' end. Do we go to our union or try and group together to speak to our slt first? Has anyone any experience or advice please as this is really affecting our working and personal lives

E-scooters

What is your schools stance on E-scooters and E-bikes?

We all know they're illegal to ride on public roads and footpaths, yet our children are still doing so. Letters and emails have went out to every family (rather than targeting the few) but nothing has changed.

They're whizzing around to and from school and it's only a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt (probably not them, but someone else).

What steps are your schools taking to tackle this, if any
