Just committed my first bison divorce

Currently on year 24 of my pack and it took me this long to do it. I've never hated any of my mates, but in order to achieve an achievement, crimes must be committed. For some reason, I always expected that it'd be a one-hit or two-hit ordeal, but it took so long I actually feel bad. And it was within view of the densite! lol

These pups knew their mother for exactly four weeks of their lives, and they (and Cici herself) have my deepest apologies.

Pupless year in review:

Kind of boring, but also very relaxing! My favorite quest is Young Hunters, because it means the pack gets to roam and isn't bound to a certain point in the territory, and doing it for an entire in-game year was nice. But having no real goal other than providing food and maintaining borders got old after a while. Happy to have a den of pups again!

Also just finished my second year since the collaring update. Last year was Pearl, this year was Jib & Shore. Since he (Shore) shares his coat with his older sister Portia, it's nice to have another way to tell them apart haha.

Bonus year 22 slide because my pack's in a transitional stage lol.

Password not working after reset

I changed my password on Tuesday (it was 217 days expired at the time). Today, I needed to print out my paystub form the past week and tried logging into MyInfo to print it, but it wouldn't let me. Came up with an error that either it or my EUID were wrong, but I know my EUID isn't. Tried a few times, gave up, and since I was off the past two days, I went in and reset it again, thinking maybe I'd just misremembered it. Came home, tried to log in again, new password was incorrect as well?? Anyone know how to fix this? Can't even log into MyTime to check next week's schedule.

Sassy | July 2010 - June 2nd, 2026

Sassy, Sassy, Sassy....

There is so much to say, but words can't quite describe how I feel today.

You came to us, saved from an unfair, lonely death out on BLM land. You came kicking and screaming, and it was only in these final years that you settled. Your once-soft fur, your fights with Clyde, the way you used to scream at us when you were hungry, I miss them already. You spent no more than thirteen of your years with us, but you were here. You put up with Clyde, and I know that, even in your own way, that you cared for GrayD and Rocket. Each of us humans, too. Even if you had a funny way of showing it. We've had our ups and our downs with you, and as difficult as these last few years have been, we'll miss you anyway. Even if some of us will never say it. I hope that you can find peace now, old girl. You've earned it. You've been a shell of yourself for too long, and it's time for your suffering to end.

Your voice has faded, and it's time for you to rest so that it's strong enough to irritate us all over again when we join you, many years from now. I look forward to the day I hear it again. I may be young, but I will never forget you. I'm so sorry.

Original post.

Just got back from the vet about forty-five minutes ago.

TL;DR: Long story short, most of her symptoms are just her body aging, and a bit of anxiety of her own. Eating rocks is the weirdest coping mechanism I've ever seen haha.

The veterinarian did her bloodwork and took some x-rays. Her bloodwork came out perfect, thyroid and all. Her coughing and occasional raspy breathing are because of a mild trachea collapse, but the vet was not too concerned about it, and said it isn't uncommon in older dogs. Speaking of which, I found this amusing, but Brandy also has "old dog lungs".

During my research before the visit, I read that anxiety might cause a dog to eat things they aren't supposed to (i.e, the rocks). We couldn't actually see any rocks in her x-rays, her next bowel movement had none, and the only thing in her stomach was the treats I brought to reward her with- which did confuse the veterinarian a bit, she couldn't quite make out what they were until she asked me if I'd given her anything.

The vet said that the only thing she would prescribe would be maybe a cough suppressant, but there's nothing that really needs treating. Brandy is well and happy to be back home. Vet said she'll call to follow up tomorrow.

I went in expecting the worst, but it turns out Brandy is just a goober. Despite spending $650, I much prefer that and a healthy dog as opposed to coming home without her. Thank you all for your advice, and I'm so happy I got to give you all good news.

This is Brandy (12F, turns 13 on October 5th). My parents rescued her from a bad situation when she was a puppy, and she's been with us ever since. She's had no health issues or behavioral issues over the years, but in the past couple of weeks, she's started eating, well. Rocks. I get that dogs eat grass when their stomachs are upset, but I don't quite get why she would eat rocks. I found out today when I was cleaning up her waste and found them in her stools. Both in them, and just piles of rock int he grass that I found alone. I mentioned it to my dad, and he seemed dismissive, so I brought it up to my mom, who shares my concerns and is going to do some research about it. I figured I would ask other dog owners here to see what you guys think of it. Is she being silly- is it something we can train her out of doing- or does she need a vet? She's never done anything like this before. Thanks in advance.

(first picture is her today)

ETA: By rocks, I mean pebbly types rocks like this

Update: Parents agreed to let me take her to the vet, I told them about PICA and pointed out some of the symptoms of it that she has (retching/gagging and coughing while eating, and little to no feces when she has to go), and my dad is a bit more concerned now. I will be scheduling an appointment for Monday afternoon as soon as the vet's office opens tomorrow morning.
