(episode 2) I didn't catch it on my first watch...

...but when the dragons flew over the city during Fall of KL, we can see how Hugh's wife is watching Vermithor and Ulf's drinking buddies watch Silverwing above, probably not knowing who the riders are, or am I mistaken? I can't remember if they had a chance to talk about it after the Sowing.

the 4 and a half battles in season 3

When Condal said this season will feature 4 and a half battles, I think he meant:

  1. Battle of the Red Fork (0,5 battle even though we see just an aftermath but the battlefield was heavily realised with several things happening, episode 1)

  2. Battle of the Gullet (1 battle, episode 1)

  3. Fall of KL (1 battle even though not much fighting happens but it's VFX heavy and from it's definition taking the city is considered a battle, episode 2)

  4. The Butcher's Ball (1 battle, rumoured for episode 6)

  5. First Battle of Tumbleton (1 battle, maybe stretched over the last 2 episodes)

Considering the fact that these 2 first episodes were originaly meant to close the 2nd season, season 3 will basically have only 6 episodes and I cannot express how much I hate the HBO/WB execs for doing this.

I've got an idea about what happens to Helaena

Someone pointed out that in this scene, Helaena could be observing the Naath butterflies. In the trailer, she is most likely giving birth to Maelor. What if the butterflies infect the baby and...well you know what happens to those who come in contact with these creatures. That could either lead her to take her own life (which I still think is unlikely), or just set off a chain of events that ends with her where she ends up in the book...

Why aren't all dragon riders wearing armour and helmets?!? (rant)

"riding leathers" are nice, but they don't stop arrows from killing you. Aemond is the only one wearing a helmet (in the Harrenhal promo) and I am not only disappointed because of how badass it would look, but also how "stupid" it is - they're in a war and dragon riders are a rare asset in the conflict, they should be more protective of themselves

I've heard the argument about actors not being fully visible/TV being visual medium, but I just don't accept that...

Alicent's letter to the Hightower army

I'm rewatching the new episode and I don't think I fully understand the reason Alicent sent the letter in Aemond's name. The Hightower army marches to Harrenhal, right? And we know (from promo) that Aemond doesn't stay in KL anyways. Is she somehow trying to buy Rhaenyra some time? Please someone explain it to me from Alicent's POV.

so many great shots of the dragons during the premiere, but I couldn't concentrate on the beauty of it all, just the tragedy and horror..and the shrieks...

I was so excited to finally get more insight into the lore tied with the supernatural and magical aspect of the story, especially through the history of Targaryen kings. I still believe we will get more of it in the next 2 seasons.
