The Primark ILY dolls are certainly the weirdest ILY 4ever release Jakks Pacific ever did (but they can always surprise us later !).
For those unaware : back in november 2024, two 6 inches Disney dolls under the brand ILY 4ever were found in Primark stores in the UK and France (and maybe other countries with Primark stores ?).
There was an Olaf doll and a Stitch doll, both wearing onesies,
They were not listed on the Primark website as far as I know : they just popped up one day without any promotion, any information, and frankly any reason, in a retail chain that's not even primarly known for their toys aisles.
At the time, I drove 2 hours to my nearest Primark to search for one of them, to no avail, because scalpers got them all first I assumed.
Indeed, for 2-3 months, those dolls were selling kinda well on Vinted, sometimes for twice their original price (as a brand, ILY 4ever may be not that big, but it's not UNpopular).
But nearly two year later, I've finally found the Primark Stitch doll at a good price !
So let's talk quickly about her, because later this year, similar dolls should be released under the name "Snugg ILY Styles", and it may be useful to know what to expect if, indeed, they're the same concept.
Plus, one of the Snugg doll leaked look very close to the Primark Stitch...
PACKAGING :
It's simple, very open, but impossible to steal : like always, they is a ton of plastic staples...! What I like is that you can easily see the doll face, and touch her hair, to know if you'll like the feel or not.
There is the character represented by the doll in the lower right corner, like most ILY 4ever products.
FACE :
The printing is super crisp, one of the best ILY face print IMO, lol. I may be wrong, but I don't see pixelation in the eyes.
Blushing may be too much, and we have a "Dreamworks face" situation with this girl, but that's no big deal.
SKIN TONE :
It's not exactly the same, but close to the skin tone for Space Buns Minnie and Budget Daisy. I think Budget Moana is the same, too.
HAIR :
Long, and held in a ponytail on the left side. They're not really pretty (I haven't brush them yet), and at the touch, they feel like the Budget ILY Daisy hair, maybe a bit less softer because of potential product (I haven't wash them yet).
I'd say the color is most similar to Space Buns Minnie's hair color, i.e. brighter than the Budget Daisy, but darker than the Stitch 1's.
OUTFIT :
It's basically only two pieces : a Stitch-shaped onesie with quite an elaborate Stitch head hoodie, and a pair of pink sandals.
I don't know if it's supposed to be an Halloween costume or a bedtime costume.
The shoes fall very easily once you removed the clear elastics holding them, so choose wisely.
Same thing for the hoodie : once you've removed the plastic staples holding it to the doll's head, it'll be impossible to have it placed the right way, because of the ponytail. So depending if you want to redress or hairplay with the doll or not, don't cut those staples !
SIZE COMPARISON :
Primark Stitch is small, but her proportions are perfectly in scale with the 11 inches fashion dolls, I love that !
I'd say she's between 4 and 6 years old. She's tall enough to hold the hand of her older sister/mother/baby-sitter, and that's the most important to me.
BODY :
Primark Stitch's body is very basic : five points of articulations, hollow plastic (I think ?), and no specific trademark or year of production in the back. It's possible it's just the same body as the kids version of the Disney Princesses. Even the underwear isn't painted.
If Jakks Pacific want to be extra, I'd like the Snugg ILY dolls to have moving wrists, knees and/or elbows, for better posing, or using accessories.
I don't know how this body compare to Chelsea dolls, Rainbow High Littles dolls, or OB11 bodies, so restyling will be a challenge for sure. If I find a good combo, I'll post it in another post.
PRICE :
When the Primark dolls where found in the UK, they costed £10. I got mine for 12€ total, which is around the same price tag after conversion. And I don't think they'd be worth more, as they're very limited. I bought mine to play the kid for my standard ILYs, and that's all I got.
If Jakks want to charge the Snugg ILY higher, they better have better bodies, better hair, or accessories.
Hi ! I was searching for more information about the "Snugg-ily Styles" 6 inch dolls (the logo we've seens some weeks ago made it looks like the name was Snugg styles ILY, but whatever), and I found this article.
https://toyworldmag.co.uk/jakks-pacific-renews-disney-ily-4ever-global-licence-through-2027/
Keypoints :
- Jakks Pacific and Disney Consumer Products have renewed their global licensing agreement for the Disney ILY 4Ever doll line through 31st December 2027, across key markets around the world.
(end of 2027 isn't very long term, but that's still good. We just need to be sure Europe is a key market, lol)
- It also extends the line with the new Snugg-ily Styles segment featuring 6-inch collectible dolls donning the hottest trend of character onesies, bringing a fresh, on-trend product offering to Disney fans beginning autumn of 2026.
(so they're supposed to be Labubu/Bratziez ? Hopefully, they won't have keychains, and the onesies will be renmovable for restyling)
- The company is also working to extend the brand’s reach through new co-branding opportunities beyond the traditional toy aisle, further expanding the Disney ILY 4Ever universe for fans of all ages.
(a clothes line, maybe ??)
I bought those food items for 1/6 dolls, but they were too small 😑
Fortunately, I had some Figuarts with funny faceplates to use them !
Now I'm curious if the Goku restaurant set would be worth it... 🫢
I recently made a purchase on Vinted, and it was my grail, the doll that made me discovered the ILY 4ever fashion dolls : against all odds, I had found the ILY 4ever Mickey & Minnie doll from 2023, that was a Target exclusive, and never came to Europe !
It was unexpected, since the doll is rare outside of the US (she's even rare in the US). But one day she was there, in my search results, sold by someone in Ireland, and for a good price too !
After I had calmed down, I immediatly pressed "Buy", and started waiting for her to arrive. During this time, I looked for a good name (I had settled on "Marie-Madeleine" ❤️ ), I prepared to make a review for r/DisneyILY, I thought where I'll put her on my shelf, etc.
The shipping time was pretty long (Ireland-France with public holidays, you know), but the package finally came two days ago...........
AND IT WAS THE WRONG DOLL.
I received an ILY Bambi doll (and for those asking, I already have her)
The seller made a huge (and, I hope, genuine) mistake, and sent me the wrong ILY doll...!
I immediately contacted them, asking to return this doll, and asking them to get in contact with the other buyer, so they can do the same, and we all can get the dolls we all bought.
It the right thing to do, the adult thing to do.
EXCEPT THE OTHER BUYER DON'T WANT TO RETURN THE MICKEY & MINNIE DOLL.
And like, I get it : the doll is rare. You found the golden ticket, without even having to buy chocolate.
But me ? I'm the one who bought the chocolate. Fair and square.
It wasn't a lottery. I've searched for this doll for more than two years, everyday, waking up at 5:00 AM to be sure I'm the first online on the app, and then checking up several time during the day, just to be sure.
I didn't do anything wrong, I didn't cheat anyone. It's the seller who messed up the packages.
So please, if you're the one who got MY doll, contact me.
We'll discuss price, or something.
Hello everyone ! Here's another review for a fashion pack that I've finally found second handed : it's the ILY 4ever Anna fashion pack, and this one is a high concept, I'd say !
It's a cute winter outfit, but with pixel arts, and an early 90's vibe in the clothing and colors. So overall, it's very nerdy, as if the designers tried to determine what kind of girl who'd relate to Anna's reclusiveness and naivete from the beginning of Frozen, and ended up with « a girly girl who stays at home playing video games », I guess ?
It's far fetched, but not *entirely* wrong, and the outfit is super fun : my ILY Bambi looks very cutesy wearing it !
I love the puffy ski jacket : it feels like the real deal, and the colors are very believable, like something that could be thrifted IRL.
The pink seam of the Swen t-shirt doesn't go all the way around, and it's bothering me a bit.
The skirt is nice, and could be easily used elsewhere, since I don't really know what the pattern represents, lol. If it's a reindeer's head, I don't know what the red square is,
The charm on the Olaf bag don't move, so it breaks the illusion a bit. It must be a budget thing, because the charm on the Mirabel bag did move.
Speaking of the Mirabel pack, Anna's glasses are slightly thinner and rounder than Mirabel's. I'd prefer an unique color, but I think they look better on the dolls.
The pink socks look very childish, and I hope the red pom-poms aren't too fragile.
Curiously, the shoes aren't mirrored : the teal and green-gold parts are always on the same side. At first, I thought I'd received two left shoes (or two right shoes), but according to the promo pictures, it's intentional. It's not a problem at all, just something interesting.
The headband is unfortunatly too small to fit properly on my doll's head, and it's the first time I have this problem with an ILY heandband... When you look at the promo pictures, ILY Snow White use it around her hair bun, which is cheating ! My theory is the headbands were badly manufactured and couldn't be recalled, so the designers and photographers had to improvised.
In conclusion, I don't think I'll be able to use all the pieces in other restyles, but sometimes, you have to appreciate a pack as it is. This one was a surprise hit for me, and I think I'll keep my Bambi like that for several weeks !
I promised myself to repost this ILY Darth Vader restyle here on May the Fourth, so here it is, for my own satisfaction !
Sorry for the disturbance (in the Force), please continue scrolling ^_^
All those blind box dolls often lack accessories, so I like to add "playability" by buying stuff like that 🤷🤭
Welp, believe in your dreams, I guess... !
I've been looking for those two fashion packs for like a year and a half, searching everyday in case someone would sell them, and it finally happened ! Thank you, mother-of-a-child-who-is-too-old-for-dolls-or-something-so-she-sells-everything !
Since those outfits are pretty rare on the after market, here are two short reviews to let you know if they're worth the effort to track them...
MAD TEA PARTY PACK :
It's one of these ILY look where the theming is pretty loose. It's supposed to be based around the attraction of the same name, but for me, it's more an « Alice in Wonderland in general » pack, with an emphasis around the singing flowers from the movie, who are not present in the ride (as far as I know). The big jacket and the boots are proof of that.
On the other hand, the tea cups pattern on the skirt, the Mickey ears, the lantern bag and the t-shirt are centered around the attraction, so I don't know what was the designers logic, here.
Speaking of the t-shirt, its image is very blurry, and I'm not sure if it's somewhat intentional or a result of the fabric used. Either way, the design is supposed to be one of the poster for the ride.
There is also a trans-purple chains necklace, and... I don't get it. It could be a Spectra Vondergeist accessorie that was lost in the package, for all I know...!
Overall, the outfit works better than expected, but it'll be hard to use the pieces independantly, IMO.
MIRABEL PACK :
On the opposite direction, I would say that the Mirabel pack works better if you use the clothes apart from one another... !
The rainbow sweater, the pink shoes, the green glasses, the overalls-skirt are all great pieces that can (and will) be recycled elsewhere, but once added, it's a bit much.
Fun fact, when the first teaser for Encanto dropped, I thought Mirabel was gonna be a schoolteacher visiting the village with her students, and it's exactly the vibes I get from this outfit : something a nice pre-school teacher in her late 20's would wear to work. Something that is practical, and is decorated with small gifts crafted by the kids (the necklace really looks like painted macaronis).
More than a « disneybounding » outfit, it's one of those « vibebounding » outfits, and I like those ones !
On the negative side, the glasses are a bit to thick, and the wicker hand bag isn't for me in this color.
