That Didn't Work
The goose arrived today. I'm disappointed since I thought she would leave it alone. Everything is a toy I guess.

I've had this pepper white 2006S since 2009 and today was my first rule #1. I usually park further away so people don't park next to me. I'm a little old school and don't pull to the front of the spot - some other rule about not creating a phantom parking spot.
I saw this at the local Hallmark store last Saturday and went back for it today. Too cute! It's $19.99 and I had a $5 off coupon. I got home and found a $5 off $20 coupon in my bag!
I purchased a dog treadmill to use during the summer and storms. She'll walk on it if I'm giving her treats. It has become a bed holder in the spare room. It makes me laugh every time she climbs up there.
I had $10 Kohls cash to use and got my dog a Himalayan chew instead of trying to find something for myself. These are a great boredom busters. She hasn't chipped any teeth yet.
I watched a CalPERS video and it defined a cost of living adjustment(COLA) as a benefit to ensure the value of your money at retirement keeps up with the rate of inflation. CalPERS retirees receive an ANNUAL COLA every May 1.
State workers deserve a raise to keep up with higher costs too. CalHR and Newsom. If you're reading this, you might not be affected by the higher cost of gas, parking, food, utilities, insurance, rent/mortgage, basically EVERYTHING, but most State workers are. Please stop stalling and approve raises retroactive to July 1, 2026, and for the duration of new bargaining agreements. Please treat State workers with respect.
I found this sweater in the Kohls junior clearance today. It's $6.99 and after my 30% off and additional .95 it was $4.23 plus tax. This will be my new election day apparel.
I took a Find Your Match dog quiz five years ago and matched with Boston Terrier. I adopted one 4.5 years ago and still receive the alerts. This one pulls at the heartstrings. I hope Buggie finds a wonderful furever home. Maybe someone here is ready to adopt.
My Boston loves her playpen. It's three playpens snapped together. I put one piece of dog food in each toy and she has to work to get it out. This helps get some of the energy out.
My girl is allergic to dust mites so it was time to wash the covers of her stairs. I know she likes to shake them but I wasn't expecting to find such a mess underneath. She has a variety of toys to shake but always goes for the foam stairs and foam pad.
I often see posts looking for guidance on how to keep Bostons cool. A user highly recommend the Canada Pooch cooling vest. I was looking on Chewy yesterday for ear cleaner and paw spray for allergies and found this on clearance for $27.70 reg $60.99. I have a big Boston with a 22" chest! Various sizes are on clearance in different styles. I saved a pullover neck scarf for next time. Some Halloween costumes are on clearance too for $2.75-$7.00 and up. My girl is going to be Supergirl this year.
I adopted my first dog as an adult in December 2021, a 2.5-year-old Boston Terrier. The energy level surprised me a bit. A bought a variety of toys to keep her entertained. She is very food motivated so now I focus more on interactive toys, puzzle toys, and mental stimulation. Out of everything I have bought this treat ball is my favorite since it keeps her busiest the longest and she loves all of the treats - a Blue Buffalo health bar broken up into small bite size pieces.
