I need opinions (dodge ram 2004)

Okay, not necessarily a question regarding how to fix a car, but rather it's about something about my dad's truck.

My dad has had this truck since 2022, and before that it was my grandpa's. It has expired tags and what not so he needs to move it before it gets towed. But the problem is is that the engine isn't getting any oil, so he can't exactly drive it right now.

My uncle says he can fix it up for free, but in order to do it he need the pink slip to the truck. Now, I don't anything about cars or stuff like that, but I'm pretty sure a mechanic doesn't need a pink slip in order to fix a car, but what do I know. It definitely does smell fishy tho.

If anyone has any tip on how to fix a broken engine that doesn't get any oil, please lmk. And is my uncle trying to scam my dad?

It should be considered evil to give a child money and expect them to pay you back

Like, imagine you see a kid waiting in line at an ice cream truck but they don't have any money, so you decide to give them $5. Then, after they buy the ice cream, you say to them, "I'm gonna need you to pay me back the $5 I gave you."

And I'm only speaking from experience, because when I was twelve my aunt took me and my cousins to the mall and she gave me $20 to spend it on something. And I did. But then when I got home she says to me, "you need to repay me the $20 because I let you borrow it." Like???

I feel like with teenagers it's a bit different since most of them start to have jobs and such, but still. If you're giving a child money and they aren't old enough to have a job yet, don't expect them to repay you! Or better yet, don't give them money at all at that point.

4 years later, 4 years older, yet it's still me 🩷

Crazy to think I was so cynical about my birthday when I was younger lol. I've definitely grown indifferent to aging – after all, it's just how life works. My birthday was actually yesterday, and it's weird to think that I'm legally an adult now, even if I don't feel any different than I did a week ago. To anyone who's scared of getting older, you'll be okay, and it will get better 🩷
