Someone mentioned it on here ages ago. I can remember seeing it on kids TV in the nineties which is pretty amazing (though not that amazing as I also remember Tom and Jerry cartoons with the housemaid being on.
Afterwards the host (Tommy Boyd) explained to the kids who Abraham Lincoln was, which was a nice public service moment. And it's pretty plain about what the civil war was about
This is old but got really nostalgic for it. Would be interested to hear what people think

Does any of his artwork still exist? What kind of things did he paint?
Do most of cultural stereotypes that get applied to Southerners predate the war? Did they get worse during or after it? Like did people joke about Southerners marrying their cousins before the war or did that come later?
(Obviously stereotyping anyone based on where they come from is wrong.)
