I’m not sure why this company does it this way, but the write a check to the vendor by creating a bill payment with date April 22, posting period April. Then they create the bill record on May 1st with posting period May. This is done every month. This throws off their ap aging report since it’s run by periods. They said they always use to do it this way in their old system but I’d like to ask what are the more correct ways to do this in netsuite?
So I live in Ontario and for Valentine’s Day I ordered some flowers and cake for my elderly parents who live in Nova Scotia via a grocery delivery app called Instacart. My parents had no idea I was sending something as it was a complete surprise. There was a snow storm or below zero has the front porch had ice and when it gets warm a bit the snow from the roof falls and turns to ice on the porch for this reason they have a hard time keeping up. The drive way was fully salted and clean. The shopper went up the porch stairs, handed my dad the groceries, and on his way down he was on his phone and slipped and fell. My dad ran to help him, and the guy instantly asks for my dad’s insurance details, phone number and ID, and my dad gave it to him but forgot to take his information.
Today my dad gets a letter from a personal injury lawyer. I feel awful because my parents didn’t even ask for this, I was trying to do a nice gesture of Valentine’s Day.
The most important thing, the person who sent the personal injury letter through the lawyer is someone else. On the app it clearly shows a picture of a women with long hair and name *sarah** for example. But my dad said is was a man who delivered and when my dad helped him to his car, there was no else in the car. The name of the person from the lawyers letter does not match “Sarah” it’s clearly a male name. So this person should’ve never been on the property in the first place.
What are next steps? Do we need a lawyer, does my dad open a claim with his home insurance?
