It is situated near Deoksugung Palace and Seoul City Hall

Back at my home airport, Incheon International Airport.
It always feels clean, spacious and easy to navigate, and I still enjoy seeing all the little things around the terminal — from the service robots to art installations and exhibitions.
After visiting Hamad International Airport recently, it was nice to come back to a very different but equally impressive airport.

The Plaza Seoul, Autograph Collection will close at the end of September for a major renovation.
I’ve stayed here quite a few times and always liked it for the central location, great views, and consistently friendly service, so I’m genuinely a little sad to see it close.
It’s expected to return in about three years under a new brand, so hopefully it comes back even better. Until then, this feels like a temporary goodbye to one of my favorite Marriott stays in Seoul.

Seoul National University sits right at the foot of Gwanaksan, so the campus has a surprisingly scenic setting for Seoul.
This is the main gate — one of the most recognizable spots on campus.

Between The Orchard, the giant Lamp Bear, and all the art installations throughout the terminal, this was easily one of the most memorable airports I’ve passed through.
Even with a long layover, there was actually a lot to walk around and see.

Stayed at JW Marriott El Convento Cusco and loved how different it felt from a typical luxury hotel.
The property sits on the site of a former convent, and the courtyards, arches and stonework give it a real sense of place and history. It was especially beautiful at night when the courtyard was lit up.
One of the more memorable touches: an alpaca comes by the hotel every morning and poses for photos with guests.
Definitely one of the most unique hotels I’ve stayed at.

I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki while visiting Hawaii for a friend’s wedding. We had amazing weather throughout the trip, and it ended up being such a meaningful and memorable time.
The location was great, the views were beautiful, and even the rainbow showed up at just the right moment. Definitely one of those vacations I’ll remember for a long time.

Stayed at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali recently and really enjoyed the setting. The resort is surrounded by greenery, and the infinity pool was easily my favorite part of the property.
A very different atmosphere from the beach resorts in Bali, but a great place if you want something quieter around Ubud.

Stayed at W Bali recently and this somehow felt like the perfect summary of the whole place: loud, playful, colorful, and very W. The beach club atmosphere was fun without feeling too chaotic, and this little coconut presentation made me laugh.

Stayed here recently and the pool ended up being one of the most memorable parts of the hotel. The sunset view over Tbilisi was pretty hard to beat.

Stayed here a while ago and the pool area was one of the highlights for me. The resort is huge, but this part never felt too crowded, and being able to look straight out toward the ocean made it especially relaxing.
