Hi everyone-- here to spread the word about tomorrow's city council meeting. I plan on speaking regarding the exorbitant price increases at the Playfields Park batting cages. If this affects you, I STRONGLY encourage you to attend to make your voice heard! The council is expecting you to do nothing. Don't let them get away with it.

Hoping for some insight into a frustrating situation. Long story short, I am the beneficiary of a trust that owns a house after probate. Rocket bought out the former loan servicer so they now hold the mortgage. For various reasons we elected to go thru deed-in-lieu process, which Rocket accepted in November.

Since then, we have gotten the run-around from Rocket. Every time we contact them, no one there seems to know what is going on. They continue to send us past due notices which is a little alarming. Meanwhile the house is just sitting there.

My questions are: Is there nothing we can do to get Rocket to move this along? Do I just need to be patient? Is Rocket stacking their "losses" in the event they want to sue the trust for missed mortgage payments etc.? Having very little clarity in a situation that's been going on for months is vexing.

Warning to everyone walking their dogs just south of Northstar Park. Yesterday this guy tried to goad me into fighting him after his two Pyrenees (aka two giant dogs) escaped thru his front door. He's about 5'8", bald, and older (50s). I've been in situations like this and you never know how aggressive the other dog(s) is, so I'm in defense mode. I yell at him, "Are you fucking serious? Get your dogs under control."

Apparently this offended him so much that he rushed across his front yard and got in my face as my dog and I are trying to walk away. This grown man (I'm being generous) chased me out into the street and called me a bitch and a f----t for not fighting him while I'm trying to walk my dog. My guy, I'm not gonna kick an old man's ass. This all happened in front of what looked like his daughter (?). She commented, "Nothing happened," which in hindsight I think she was saying to her aggro dad bc she's seen him do stuff like this before.

Be careful out there folks. Some guys need to get a grip.
