My (Dell) work laptop is making hundreds of these queries a day, sometimes hundreds an hour, pointing at every device on my network through ipv4 and 6. It's the only device on my network making PTR queries. Anyone think there's harm in just blocking it from doing this? My company doesn't need to know this information as far as I'm concerned

Gotta say, as a new Pihole user, looking through query logs has been full of weird surprises

I'm currently in the research phase of getting Pihole set up, and I have a couple questions that I couldn't find definitive answers to, so I want to ask the experts here!

My current setup: I have a media server set up on a Windows 11 machine (It started as a small side project, and has grown to the point of needing to be on a separate dedicated device, but prices are high right now so I've been putting it off). I have Jellyfin and a few other services set up that I route through a Cloudlfare Tunnel for remote access, using my Cloudlfare domain. I took this route because Tailscale wasn't a great UX for my less-tech-savvy friends and family, I was already using Cloudflare to manage my site, and at the time I didn't have the capacity to learn any other more in-depth strategies.

As I was poking around this subreddit I saw a lot of folks mentioning Unbound, and I really like the idea of setting that up. As someone who is good with tech but not well versed in networking or DNSs, I tried searching around here to make sure this set up wouldn't break anything, but I'm not super confident I found the right answer - especially since most threads are from 1 or more years ago and Cloudflare made changes to how things work in February.

- Will setting up Pihole+Unbound mess with Cloudflare Tunnel connectivity or remote streaming speeds?
- Does using a Cloudlfare Tunnel for remote access open the door for DNS leaks or Pihole/Unbound circumvention for other network traffic? Any extra concerns since I'm hosting things on a Windows computer I use for gaming, 3D modeling, art, etc? This feels like a silly question and I'm pretty sure the answer is "no", but I'm really unfamiliar with the inner workings of this stuff. There is so much to learn, and the material is quite dense
- If I'm already going to go down the route of setting up Unbound, should I consider other choices for remote access? If so, can I set it all up on the same rPi as Pihole and Unbound, or would I want it to be on a different/stronger device?

I value privacy and security more and more nowadays, and I know using a Cloudflare Tunnel puts trust into a third party. However, with my limited knowledge on this topic, my original thought process was that Cloudflare is a lot less likely to introduce attack surface/vectors than I am. But, if I'm going down a new rabbit hole, I figured now might be a good time to re-evaluate my options and learn more about how this stuff really works.

I started renting a house in Northern IL at the end of 2025, and as spring rolled around it became pretty apparent the yard has not been taken care of for several years (the neighbors have confirmed this). It turns out that the full yard of dandelions were the least of my worries though... Now that things have had time to grow I've realized that our entire front and back garden is full of invasive species and aggressive weeds. The backyard garden area is maybe 6'x10' and it's DENSELY populated by Tree of Heaven plants that are between 4-7' tall. There is also a fully grown Tree of Heaven nearby. In the front yard garden, there are several White Mulberry plants growing that are 3-4' tall. 

Outside of the invasives I was able to identify using an app, we've also got a LOT of burdock, lamb's quarters, black nightshade, pokeweed, pigweed, velvet leaf, Norway maple...

As someone who's been getting hit really hard by allergies this season, I was hoping I could quickly tackle things myself. Unfortunately, I've realized this will require professional intervention, especially for the forest of tree of heaven we have. 

As a renter, I'm not looking to spend $1000s out of pocket on repeated treatments, but I also really do not want to leave things as is. What's the likelihood that there is a local resource (government, conversation district, or otherwise) that'll be able to help out cheap or free? If that's unlikely, is this a thing that my (large corporate) landlord could be required to take care of? I shot an email out the IL DNR and my county's conservation district earlier today, but figured I'd post here to see if anyone had any leads or ideas

As of today, Relay will not load any content. I tried reinstalling the app, and now I cannot restore my subscription.

I am running the latest stable build of GrapheneOS on a Pixel 8 Pro. Relay has been installed through Aurora store because Play store says the app is not available for my device (which has been the case for months). The only thing I can think of is that Relay is now blocking access to the app because of heightened Play Integrity checks. If this is the case, I am very against this decision. People using a more secure version of Android should not be penalized for it. Please let me know if there are any other steps I can take troubleshoot if this is not the case
