Deciding between Rad Dirt Fest and Grassroots Gravel

Trying to decide between doing Rad Dirt Fest in Trinidad next month or Grassroots Gravel in Pueblo early October. Anyone done both and have opinions on which they prefer?

Evoc Bike Bag Pro for long enduro bike

I know it’s been asked before, but seem to be mixed comments. Has anybody flown with large enduro bikes in the EVOC bike bag pro? I have size large transition spire and size large propain spindrift id be switching between traveling with. I think the spire will be especially hard.

The one that seems to fit larger bikes without issue is the dakine, but I found a pretty good deal on the Evoc pro and it seems like they’ve really raised the price on the dakine over the past few years.

Mounting GFC Superlite to new bed rack… thoughts?

Moving my GFC Superlite RTT to a new truck with an RCI 18” bed rack. I am going to be mounting the tent to their 2” risers so that it clears the cab.

Previously, I had the Superlite mounted to a Thule bed rack with thick cross bars and used the universal strap that GFC provides (first picture).

Now that the tent is being mounted to the risers, it needs to be bolted directly to them as opposed to using the metal strap as a connection.

My thought has been to get shorter hex screws with thick washers and bolt directly through the risers into the t-nuts that sit in the tracks underneath the tent. I needed to get much shorter bolts so that they do not bottom out in the mounting rail and make contact with the top of it. There are 6 risers so it will be bolted to risers in 6 spots.

Is there a better or more secure way to mount to these risers? Any reason to use different hardware than I’m choosing?

Tried to illustrate what it looks like in these pictures and how the risers sit on the rack. Also, the mounting instructions.

Thank you in advance!
