UEV Base Tour!

Hello,

Been meaning to do this for a bit. We made a QFT and we're upgrading to 2.9 (2.7.4 right now) next weekend so I figured I'd finally put together a tour. The 2.9 upgrade is gonna be brutal but I have some time off so I'm just gonna grind out fixing all of our crafting and our lines.

We have 3 people in total on this server and we've been playing on and off for about 2 years now. We all have jobs so nights and weekends are when we work on it. We took a break to play other games here and there to avoid burnout. We've stayed pretty faithful to the rules however we're not really looking to get the stargate group on discord or anything so if we deem something to be fair game we'll do it. For example: We teleport to all the planets using /cofh tpx with the rule that we have to make like 2 million of the fuel and use the rocket once for each tier before we can teleport.

We have all played a lot of modded minecraft. I have an alpha account and I played during the earliest mod days and used to be a big fan of the Forgecraft server. Watched youtube a lot and learned about all these mods as they were being developed so having all of them in this pack has been a blast. This is actually our second time playing GTNH. We played many years ago but didn't make it too far before moving onto something else. We played nomifactory before this as well.

We kinda stopped using the questbook around HV so some of our stuff is a bit crackhead and we're missing a ton of quests because we would set up lines without getting cells full of intermediate compounds so our books are definitely full of holes.

We self host on the PC below. Tickrate has been great save for some bugs that cause a slow tick every second (looking at you arcane furnace with world accelerator).

PC:
Ryzen 9 3900X
32G DDR4 3400 (14 allocated)
1TB NVME
1 Gig NIC
3 Gig Google Fiber

Posted on Imgur since Reddit doesn't let you upload more than 20 images. Imgur also bugs out on Firefox so I had to use Edge to upload all the images.

Final Post - Sony WF-1000XM6 Pogo Pin Fell Out

Hello,

Sony actually reached out to me last night and offered to replace my WF-1000XM6! I (probably stupidly) told them that I performed my own repair, he checked with someone, and they're still going to allow me to trade my current set in for a new set!

I'll update my old posts to link to this one. Its still frustrating I couldn't get this resolved earlier but it seems like Sony is aware of the problem and willing to make it right. I encourage others with this issue to reach out to support and see if they're willing to work with you on a replacement!

WF-1000XM6 Pogo Pin Update - Botched Glue Job??

Hello all,

Made a post recently about the pogo charging pin falling out in my XM6 case. I was able to order one of similar size from DigiKey and it fits ok. Its a bit taller but it still travels and can compress to the same size as the other one so it charges pretty reliably. Currently waiting for epoxy to dry to test more.

However, for the rest of y'all, I found something interesting:

Pogo Pin Board - Missing pin seen with blank solder pad

On the pogo pin board, there doesn't appear to be any adhesive on the pin that fell off! However this is because the adhesive also fell off, I found it in the bottom of the case. One thing I noticed though was that the adhesive piece was crescent shaped. So I took a look at the identical pin from the other side and sure enough, its also crescent shaped

Other side - Identical pin showing botched glue job. Also shows the new pin on the top of the picture.

Sony botched the glue job on both of these pins and I believe its why one fell out. There isn't enough glue on the other side (or any glue at all!). Even so, I still worry with how easily the first pin came off that even the ones surrounded by glue aren't too strong. Seems just like some cheap adhesive.

So for others with this issue, its probably for the same reason. So much for a damn $300 pair of earbuds. Might be the last Sony product I purchase since their official support wouldn't even sell me a new case, and the reseller (Encompass) doesn't have them in stock and hasn't for over a month. I was willing to pay Sony for a new case since I just wanted it fixed but they wouldn't even let me do that.

Once the epoxy cures on my new pin, it should be good as new. Ridiculous that I have to spend my money and time to fix Sony's issues on a $300 pair of earbuds.

Hope you all don't run into this.

WF-1000XM6 Pogo Pin Fell Out

Has this happened to anyone else?

I like to mess with the pins sometimes so I'm sure its my fault but I'm surprised they're not better attached. Now my right earbud is missing the pogo pin to charge with.

I managed to roll a little piece of aluminum foil into a pin shape and with enough effort I can make it charge. I ordered a new case from Sony's official reseller but it said it was out of stock so I hope it ships sometime soon...
