I love how music is used sparingly in the show, so when you do hear it you pay attention.

On yet another turn of the wheel, may it do ya fine. Probably about my 4th or 5th reread. Listening to the audio books and at the part of Drawing of the Three where we are introduced to Odetta Holmes/Detta Walker and I’m struck by how difficult it would be to adapt visually.
If this story does eventually make its way to the silver screen, as we all hope it does, how would you want them to handle her character? Her language is intense to a modern ear and her missing legs would introduce massive filmmaking challenges - i imagine you’d need to CGI out the actors legs the majority of the time!
How would you feel about them rewriting the character so she didn’t lose her legs? Do you think her losing her legs is integral to her character? I see her broken mind more integral than her broken body.
