Hi everyone. Doing a ranger AMA since I had a hard time finding answers to some questions about how I did my specific build. Love how this truck is currently spec’d!

2021 Ranger FX4 - warranty replaced transmission (feel free to ask questions here)

Suspension - Bilstein 6112s and 5160. 2” level setting up front. Icon progressive leaf pack. Previously used eibach struts with stock springs. Love this set up. Much much better than what I was originally running. I also have super pro UCAs (not needed, but did make a noticeable steering difference).

Armor - RCI aluminum skids and RCI steel sliders. Have an Amazon hitch skid but I’d buy the one form RCI if I did it again.

Tires/wheels - stock ranger tremor tires and wheels. 32” general grabber ATX. 255/80r17 falken wildpeak at4w going on tomorrow. These “should” fit without modifying intrusion beams but it’s going to be really close.

Topper - wanderfox overland den topper.

Tent - Rivian / Yakima skyrise HD medium.

Lights - to be added, likely going with diode dynamics ss3 ss6 6” and fogs.

Other mods - scan guage II (must have imo). Middle console tray off amazon. Husky all weather mats. Ruffwear dog taco in the back (much better than Amazon options if you have a dog).

Also, absolutely love this truck!

I really like the layout of this! Going to reshape the sand a touch and add some more detail rock. Amazon frogbit coming tomorrow to give some surface coverage also.

This is my first tank with a canister filter and I made the lid out of 1/4” lexan which turned out pretty nice. Once the jungle Val grows in, I think it will be nicely balanced.

Would you add or change anything else?

Hi everyone. I’m looking for a little help with my CPD.

I have a heavily planted 20 gallon high tech tank and recently one of my CPDs has gotten clamped find and maybe a touch of discoloration on its tail (see picture). It also seems to be swimming poorly mostly using its pectoral fins. No issues staying upright. It’s eating also. Seems thin compared to others.

It’s been 3-4 days since I noticed. No other fish are impacted (9 CPD, 9 strawberry rasbora, and shrimp). The fish also has not progressed better or worse, sort of just stayed in this.

I did change the temp down a little around that time. Tank runs at about 76 degrees right now. My heater is off a bit but now that it’s warmer outside it was getting a touch warmer than I liked.

It’s also worth noting that these CPDs are not normal size. At a later point i added two more males to even out the sexes a bit more and I was shocked to see that my current CPDs are maybe 2/3 the size vs the two new ones I added a while back. I got my smaller CPDs in January and they have definitely grown since then but have stopped growing at this size.

All other tank parameters should be pretty normal. No ammonia or nitrite. Nitrate is normally like 15-25 ppm. Ph ranges a bit with CO2 injection from 6.5ish-7.2 maybe. Been a while since I checked ph but I check other parameters frequently.

It’s a well established tank that was started in November.
